Witherspoon founded her monthly book club, Reese's Book Club, to showcase books with women at the center of the story, while also connecting with other avid readers and sharing her favorite picks. In a recent interview with BuzzFeed alongside her The Morning Show co-star Jennifer Aniston (and an adorable pack of dogs), Witherspoon shared her favorite book of 2025.

Accolades for New York Times Bestseller Broken Country
Witherspoon's pick for her book club in March 2025, Broken Country has been on the New York Times Bestseller List for over six months and has sold over a million copies worldwide. The book debuted on the New York Times Bestseller List at number 3, partly due to the impact of being chosen for Reese's Book Club.
Storyline
Part historical fiction, part thriller, and part romance novel, Hall's Broken Country is told across three timelines and explores themes of love, loss, and the consequences of choices. The book tells the story of Beth, who is happily married, but whose relationship relies on keeping the past buried. When the man Beth loved as a teenager returns to the village she lives in with his son, Beth must confront her past as dangerous secrets are revealed.
