Disney has muscled up some superheroic architecture (pixie-dusted with a bit of *Incredibles* magic) as part of its new Cotino residential community — and ** has a first look inside the finished product that brings the film series to life for guests to experience.
Set to open as part of Disney's new neighborhood located in Rancho Mirage, Calif., Cotino's exclusive Parr House was spearheaded by the company's creative Imagineering arm, with inspiration from the beloved Pixar movie series bringing the architectural marvel to life.
"Parr House is so much more than just a beautiful space — it's a story you can step into," Walt Disney Imagineering Executive Creative Director Caroline Boone tells EW in an exclusive statement about the Parr House, modeled after the mid-century modern home the Parr hero family moves into at the beginning of 2018's *The Incredibles 2*.**

The structure's aesthetic originated after Imagineers "poured over original concept art" from* The Incredibles *series to replicate flourishes and details from the movies.
Boone explains that "the house honors both the artistry of Pixar and the architectural legacy of Palm Springs," the real-life California community that laid the foundation for other elements of Cotino.

"By infusing narrative into design, we've curated a truly unique experience that reflects the placemaking and attention to detail at the heart of Cotino, and the magic of Disney," Boone continues.

Written and directed by Brad Bird, 2004's *The Incredibles* follows the married Mr. Incredible (Craig T. Nelson) and Elastigirl (Holly Hunter), along with their children Violet (Sarah Vowell), Dash (Spencer Fox), and baby Jack-Jack (Eli Fucile and Maeve Andrews), who hide their powers and assume a suburban life after a government ban on super-powered activities, but the secret supes later spring into action to save the world.
After amassing a worldwide box office of more than $631 million, the super family returned to the big screen 14 years later in *The Incredibles 2*. Last year, Bird announced plans for a third film.**

Disney's Parr House overlooks Cotino Bay, a massive body of water that guests will also be able to traverse via different types of watercraft. Surrounding the area will be Cotino Bay Beach, featuring dining, shops, and more set to open in 2026.
The multi-use space serves as part of Cotino's voluntary Artisan Club membership organization, offering special services and amenities, including a restaurant, pool, pickleball and tennis courts, and waterfront bar and activity area, as well as meals inspired by Disney tales, lessons with Disney artists, and more.**
In total, Cotino aims to accommodate around 1,900 residential units across a 618-acre site. It will open in phases through 2026 as part of the company's Storyliving initiative, which aims to create experiential residential neighborhoods.
