Key cast and crew from It Ends With Us, including Blake Lively, Justin Baldoni and others like Jenny Slate, Isabela Ferrer and Colleen Hoover have been deposed, PEOPLE confirms

Ryan Reynolds and Taylor Swift were not among those deposed

The next court hearing is Dec. 16, with the trial scheduled for March 2026

As the legal battle between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni continues full speed ahead, sources tell PEOPLE that several individuals close to the It Ends With Us production — including key costars and members of both stars' teams — have been deposed in connection with the case.

Author Colleen Hoover, 45, whose bestselling novel inspired the adaptation, sat for a deposition recently, according to sources.

Lively and Baldoni's cast mates Jenny Slate, 41, and Isabela Ferrer, 20, were both questioned this summer, sources confirm. Slate played Allysa, the sister of Baldoni's character, in the film, while Ferrer portrayed a younger version of Lively's character, Lily Bloom.

Lively, 38, herself has also sat for a deposition, along with several close members of her professional circle — including longtime publicist Leslie Sloane, her talent agent Warren Zavala and makeup artist Vivian Baker, who worked with her on set.

Baldoni, 41, has also been deposed. Others questioned in connection with the case include his co-defendants: producer Jamey Heath, publicist Jennifer Abel and Melissa Nathan, a crisis publicist working with Baldoni, and billionaire businessman Steve Sarowitz. Jed Wallace was also deposed, as was a representative from his Texas-based PR firm, Street Relations Inc.

Additional individuals were deposed as part of the ongoing legal proceedings. One testimony that drew attention came from Baldoni's former agent, Danny Greenberg, who described what he called "extortion-like behavior" from Lively during filming.

As previously reported by PEOPLE, Greenberg later clarified he was not accusing her of criminal extortion, rather using the term informally to describe what he considered intense or coercive conduct behind the scenes.

The conflict between Lively and Baldoni began in December 2024, months after the release of It Ends With Us. That month, Lively filed a formal complaint accusing Baldoni of sexual harassment, alleging misconduct during production and a retaliatory smear campaign after she raised concerns, claims Baldoni has denied.

In response, Baldoni filed his own lawsuit accusing Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, 48, of defamation and extortion. A judge dismissed those claims in June, and Baldoni's legal team declined to file amended versions.

Despite widespread speculation, several high-profile names close to Lively have not been deposed. Reynolds has not been questioned, nor has Taylor Swift, a longtime friend of Lively's, sources confirm.

Discovery officially closed on Oct. 10. The next court hearing is scheduled for Dec. 16, with the trial currently set for March 2026.
