Hudson reportedly surprised NFL Films staff by playing an active role in the production

Bill Belichick and Jordon Hudson were seemingly not impressed with crew members involved in a now-defunct NFL Films production they worked on last year.

In a hot mic moment leaked by Pablo Torre on his podcast Pablo Torre Finds Out on Friday, Oct. 17, the UNC football coach and his girlfriend were heard disparaging people who worked behind the scenes.

"I don't know how they have four full-time graphics people," former college cheerleader Hudson, 24, told Belichick.

"They can't do s---," the 73-year-old former NFL coach responded, to which Hudson agreed: "Right?"

The couple was on the set of Coach, a now-discontinued show in which Belichick and other former NFL veterans including Matt Patricia — now the defensive coordinator at Ohio State — and Michael Lombardi, UNC football's general manager, offered analysis and commentary about the NFL.

In the leaked clip, Hudson, who handles Belichick's public relations matters and is a fixture at UNC football games, often on the sidelines, leans over the table where the former New England Patriots coach sits and offers up her suggestions for how to improve the graphics — at one point saying she could do it herself "in five minutes" — and debates the use of the phrases "red zone" and "end zone."

"This feels like a 'how many people does it take to screw in a lightbulb situation,' " Hudson says, as her boyfriend agrees. "If somebody puts on a clock, I could create this in five minutes. Would you give me two grand to do that?"

Torre alleges that Hudson caught NFL Films producers by surprise with the extent of her involvement in the project.

PEOPLE has reached out to Belichick and Hudson for comment.

Earlier this week, Belichick made his first public comments after rumors swirled last week that he was interested in leaving Carolina Football following three blowout losses to power four teams and a 2-3 start to the season.

The eight-time Super Bowl winner shot down reports that UNC officials were having "preliminary discussions" about buying out Belichick's contract, first published by Andrew Jones of 247Sports, as "categorically false."

"Some of the reports out last week about my looking for a buyout and trying to leave here and all that is categorically false," Belichick said Monday during his first press conference since North Carolina's 38-10 loss to Clemson at home on Saturday, Oct. 4. "Glad I'm here. Working toward our goals and the process."
