Run.
That's a directive in Oscar-winning director Guillermo del Toro's upcoming movie Frankenstein, given by the creature himself, in a new trailer released today, and we should probably listen.
Because the Netflix project, from the man who helmed the equally dark and twisted tales ofPan's Labyrinth and The Shape of Water, stars Jacob Elordi as the creation of Dr. Victor Frankenstein, cobbled together with various body parts from others, in the story first told in Mary Shelley's 1818 book.
"I demand a single grace from you," Frankenstein's creation tells his maker. "If you are not to award me love, then I will indulge in rage."
What follows is rage of all sorts, including a bloody scream from the creature, a gun-toting army, and a castle on fire.
In addition to Euphoria star Elordi, the movie costars Oscar Isaac as Frankenstein, along with Mia Goth (as Frankenstein's childhood sweetheart), and two-time Oscar winner Christoph Waltz (as an arms dealer not in the book). Actors Felix Kammerer, David Bradley, Lars Mikkelsen, Christian Convery, and Charles Dance are also part of the cast.
Speaking with Entertainment Weekly earlier this month, del Toro described Elordi's monster not as terrifying, but as "staggeringly beautiful, in an otherworldly way."

"Victor is as much an artist as he is a surgeon," he added, "and if he's been dreaming about this creature for all his life, he's going to nail it. It looks like a newborn, alabaster creature. The scars are beautiful and almost aerodynamic."
The director complimented Elordi's portrayal, saying that he "brought a truth to this performance that's really something to behold."
Frankenstein arrives in theater Oct. 17 and on Netflix Nov. 7.
