Jacob Elordi wants you to get as excited as he is for Euphoria season 3.

The highly anticipated follow-up to the shocking second season of HBO's award-winning, drug-addled, depression-fueled, high school saga isn't slated to premiere until spring 2026. But Elordi is ready to discuss it now, telling Variety at the Academy Museum Gala on Saturday that the experience of shooting the series' new season was "incredible."

"It was incredibly liberating. I got to play something so sort of far out from what I've done before," he shared.

Elordi was among the stable of young stars who shot to fame when Euphoria premiered on HBO in 2019. The actor had previously met success with the first film in Netflix's The Kissing Booth series, but his searing performance as the nervy, brooding jock Nate Jacobs was among the most potent features that made Euphoria a water cooler hit.

The 28-year-old Australian actor added that with season 3, series creator Sam Levinson "constructed something that's incredibly clever and cinematic. I think people are really going to like it."

Still, "I don't know what anyone else is doing. I had a really singular storyline. You don't know what the other story lines are. It's like FBI files. So it's great because I'll get to consume the show the same way that everybody else does as a fan, which I haven't been able to do before. I'm really excited," the Saltburn star said.

Elordi may be indicating that Levinson is taking Euphoria season 3 in the direction of the single-character specials that aired between seasons 1 and 2 in 2020 and 2021. "Trouble Don't Last Always," starring Zendaya, and "F--- Anyone Who's Not a Sea Blob," starring Hunter Schafer, eschewed the ensemble style of the first season to focus nearly exclusively on Zendaya's Rue and Schafer's Jules. Though neither Levinson nor HBO have indicated that Euphoria season 3 will see a break in episode format.

At the very least, a major influx of new cast members are bound to shake up the series third season, which will pick after the dramatic killing of a beloved character, the arrest of another, and the breakup between two more.

Joining the returning cast that includes Elordi, Zendaya, Schafer, Sydney Sweeney, Alexa Demie, and more, are previously announced newcomers Sharon Stone, Marshawn Lynch, Rosalía, and more. Then on Friday, the series announced another round of new additions headlined by Natasha Lyonne, Eli Roth, YouTuber Trisha Paytas, True Blood alum Sam Trammell, Till star Danielle Deadwyler, and over a dozen more.
