Sharon Osbourne announced that her family has experienced another devastating loss with the death of her pet dog, Elvis, just three months after her husband, Ozzy Osbourne, died.
"I can't believe I am posting this but my darling Elvis passed away this week. He gave me 14 precious year[s]. He was by my side until the end. Rest in peace my darling boy!" Sharon, 73, wrote via Instagram on Sunday, October 19, alongside several photos Elvis over the years.
One of the snapshots showed Elvis laying on Ozzy's chest, while another photo captured Sharon and Ozzy smiling as they posed with their pet.

Shortly after Sharon shared the sad news, several fans took to the comments section to express their condolences. "So sorry to read this Sharon. Your love for Elvis was like Ozzy's for Rocky…. I'm sorry for all the immense pain. Animals love is unconditional and heartbreaking knowing from the beginning we really get such a short time… Elvis may have left the building, but he's always in your heart… Sending love and continued prayers…" one person wrote, while a second commented, "I'm so sorry Sharon!!! Sending love!"
Meanwhile, others pointed out that Elvis and Ozzy are likely now together in Heaven. "May Ozzy watch over him till y'all meet again," a third person chimed in, as another wrote, "Sorry to hear this Sharon, - love to you. He's up with Ozzy."

Sharon and Ozzy's daughter Kelly Osbourne also paid tribute to Elvis in her own Instagram post. "It is with a heavy heart that I let you all know that we lost Elvis this week. Our guardian angel has left us. Elvis did not leave my side since my dad passed. He helped get me through the darkest moment of my life," Kelly, 40, captioned three photos of the dog. "I keep trying to find a positive in all of this and the only thing I can come up with is that maybe my dad needed him. Life can be so cruel but also give you many treasures. We were so lucky to have Elvis for 14 years. Thank you for all the love Elvis you were on of a kind. I love you. Sleep well sweet prince until we meet again!"
Elvis died just three months after Ozzy passed away at the age of 76 in July. "It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning," the Osbourne family said in a statement to TMZ on July 22. "He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time."
His death certificate was released on August 5, listing cardiac arrest and coronary artery disease as his cause of death, according to multiple reports. Ozzy was also suffering from Parkinson's disease at the time of his death.
