Week 8 has already delivered one big upset with No. 2 Miami falling at home. What else is in store?
The second half of the college football season begins Saturday with five matchups between ranked teams and a host of other intriguing games.
Here's how to watch college football this weekend. See below for what we're keeping an eye on later today (scroll down for live updates).
No. 5 Ole Miss at No. 9 Georgia, 3:30 ET, ABC
Trinidad Chambliss took over as Ole Miss' starter in Week 3 and hasn't looked back. He's even in the Heisman conversation now. Are the Bulldogs a good team, or are they title contenders? This matchup could show us plenty.
No. 11 Tennessee at No. 6 Alabama, 7:30 ET, ABC
The Volunteers are Alabama's fourth consecutive ranked opponent after victories against Georgia, Vanderbilt and Missouri. Ty Simpson is our midseason Heisman winner after his performance through the first six games of the season.
No. 20 USC at No. 13 Notre Dame, 7:30 ET, NBC
USC's got a long losing streak in South Bend; the Trojans are looking for their first win at Notre Dame since 2011. Given the way USC bossed Michigan, this could be their best chance in years.
No. 23 Utah at No. 15 BYU, 8 ET, Fox
The Holy War is here. It's the first test of the season for BYU and freshman QB Bear Bachmeier. And it's a very heated rivalry too. The Utes will surely be looking for payback after a controversial Cougars win in Salt Lake City last year.

Vandy's hero QB came through once again on third down with a scramble and smartly went down before the end zone to preserve the win.
That'll do it for this one barring a fumbled snap.

Duke moved into kicking range and had a shot to make it a one-score game, but Todd Pelino's 46-yard attempt went wide right. That will come close to sealing it for the Yellow Jackets, still leading by 10 with under 3 minutes to play.
- Sun, October 19, 2025 at 3:15 AM GMT+8Yahoo Sports StaffHuge run by Vandy!
On the very first play of their possession, Vandy's Makhilyn Young sprinted through LSU's defense and down the sideline for a 43-yard gain. The Commodores are in the red zone now.

After the GT offense couldn't get anything going in the first half, it's taken over late. Malachi Hosley broke free and waltzed into the end zone for a 10-yard score to give the Jackets a commanding lead late in the game.

The Tigers keep shooting themselves in the foot with penalties and Vandy just missed on a long pass by Diego Pavia that would've sealed it.
There's just 4:40 left and LSU has the ball back.

The Wolverines might've just sealed the deal in Ann Arbor. They're now up 14 with 10 minutes left in the game; the Huskies desperately need a response here.

It's Diego Pavia AGAIN! This time he scrambles out of trouble and bolts for the corner of the end zone on a 21-yard run. LSU does not have an answer for the play-making quarterback so far.

The Commodores haven't been shy about going for it on fourth down today. This time it was a fourth-and-short in their own territory and Diego Pavia scrambled out of danger and found Makhilyn Young for a first down.

The Tigers get one right back after Zavion Thomas took a Garrett Nussmeier pass to the house for a 62-yard touchdown. Thomas should've been taken down behind the first-down marker, but broke several tackles before bolting to the end zone for the score.
That's a hell of a response from LSU.

- Sun, October 19, 2025 at 2:11 AM GMT+8Yahoo Sports StaffDuke takes lead on FG
The Blue Devils continue to waste red-zone opportunities and you have to wonder if it'll bite them in the end. This time they had several chances inside the 10-yard line (and three tries at the 1), but couldn't get it into the end zone and had to settle for a short FG after a penalty pushed them back.

Sun, October 19, 2025 at 2:10 AM GMT+8Nick BrombergThe onus is on LSU's offense
Remember when we said earlier that LSU hadn't scored more than 23 points against an FBS opponent all season? Well, the Tigers are going to need at least 25 now to beat Vanderbilt. It's been such a weird, weird season for LSU so far.
