- Kristen Bell took several moments — and incorrect guesses — to remember her and Dax Shepard's impending wedding anniversary.

- The *Nobody Wants This* star said she and her husband aren't "great with dates."

- Bell also offered her best marriage advice: "Sitting in discomfort, because vulnerability is uncomfortable."

Kristen Bell has been married to Dax Shepard for 12 years — but who's counting?

Maybe not the *Frozen* actress, who struggled to remember her and her *When in Rome* costar's anniversary during a red-carpet interview for *Nobody Wants This* season 2 on Thursday.

"Tomorrow, Friday, is…" said a reporter for *Entertainment Tonight*, prompting Bell to finish the sentence.

"The beginning of the weekend!" the *Veronica Mars* actress responded after a pause. "What is it? What is it? The 17th… the Wrexham Charity Gala?"

After another moment, Bell tried again. "Is… the… oh my God, it's my anniversary!" she realized. "You know I don't remember that. Oh shoot, I'm so glad that you told me."

But the *House of Lies* actress said she's not alone in forgetting that big day. "It helps that he doesn't remember, either," she said of Shepard, whom she married in 2013. "And no one's at fault here, right? We're just not great with dates."

Bell added that her husband is "at home watching our children," but stopped short of envisioning him planning something for their 12th wedding anniversary. "I don't know if making mac and cheese counts as prepping for the anniversary," she said. "But we are having a date night tomorrow, so we can celebrate."

Bell went on to explain that she and Shepard are joining another Hollywood power couple, *It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia* stars Rob Mac and Kaitlin Olson, at the Wrexham AFC Foundation's gala. "It's bringing kids together through sports," she said. "We're going to that, so we will actually have a date night tomorrow."

Later in the interview, Bell offered her best advice for maintaining a strong relationship, saying that "sitting in discomfort, because vulnerability is uncomfortable" is among the most important facets of a marriage.

"It's hard to say what your needs are," she continued. "It's hard to say, 'You hurt my feelings, and here's why.' It's also even harder to say, 'I hurt your feelings, and here's why.' So sitting in the uncomfortable feelings and realizing that just like anything — cooking a great meal, going to the gym and getting a six-pack, whatever it is — those things take hard work, and relationships are no different."

However, when asked for her best dating advice for single people, Bell came up empty.

"Oh, I would have no idea," she said. "I don't even remember my anniversary. I maybe am not the person to come to if you're single."**
