Jennifer Lawrence has the kind spirit of an expert hostess — just not the pantry.
The Silver Linings Playbook actress is recalling a wild incident at her home in which her Die, My Love costar Robert Pattinson unknowingly cleared out her trash can when her fridge was already empty.
"I had my girlfriends over. We were in our pajamas. We were watching Little Women. It was December," Lawrence said on The Graham Norton Show on Friday, setting the scene for her latest bonkers story.
Then Pattinson reached out to the Hunger Games star. "He was like, 'Hey, I just wrapped something like a block away from you,'" she remembered. "And I was like, 'Oh my God!' 'Cause Rob is one of the girls. He wants to gossip. He just is one of the gals. So I was like, 'Come over!'"

However, Lawrence doesn't completely trust that Pattinson will take care of himself as much has he should. "He's also like my daughter," she explained. "He's a great father, he's a professional, he shows up on time, but I wouldn't trust that he, like, put a coat on. He brings out a very maternal [side in me]."
Lawrence said Pattinson had a request upon arriving. "He comes in, and I give him a hug, and he's like, 'You have any food? I'm so hungry,'" she recalled. "And I'm like, 'Yeah, yeah, yeah, come in, come in!'"
However, the actress was secretly panicking because her only offering had already been thrown out. "He goes to the bathroom, and I do have food, but it's in the trash," she said. "And so while he was in the bathroom, I was just, like, pulling food out of my garbage can."
Her friends looked horrified, she added, but Pattinson was none the wiser. "He eats it and we're all just kinda watching him eat this trash," she said. "And then when he was finished, he was like, 'I'm still hungry — is there more?'"
The No Hard Feelings actress then fessed up that the rest of her food was not from the fridge, though she didn't seem to come clean about the origins of Pattinson's first meal. "And I was like, 'Well there is, but it's in the garbage,'" she recalled.

The million-dollar question: Did Pattison care?
"He was like, 'Oh, I don't mind,'" Lawrence revealed. "And he just pulled it out of the trash and just kept eating it."
