Victor Wembanyama made his presence felt in the San Antonio Spurs' 125-92 victory over the Dallas Mavericks to open the season.
It was Wembanyama's first regular-season game since his 2024-25 season was cut short in February due to deep vein thrombosis.
Wembanyama produced an incredible double-double with 40 points and 15 rebounds and outshined Cooper Flagg, who was making his regular-season debut for Dallas after being the No. 1 overall pick earlier this year. Wembanyama, the 2023 No. 1 pick, set a Spurs franchise record for most points in a season opener.
