Zooey then appears, and she and Abby embrace. However, just as the three prepare to leave, someone shoots out the car tires. In a twist, it's revealed that Dolores (Allegra Fulton), the older woman who had previously bonded with Abby during a support group, is responsible for the kidnappings.

Dolores claims she "saved" Leto from his abusive family, and a flashback shows her stalking and snatching him away as a child. Over time, she brainwashed him into thinking other kids also needed to be saved, and together, they kidnapped Zooey and Emma.

Back in the present, Abby tells the girls to hide, but they find a way to escape the garage together. Dolores notices they are gone and begins to lash out, and Abby seizes an opportunity to knock Dolores out.
