Joe Jonas is making it clear that he was not, in fact, snorting cocaine onstage — speculation that ran rampant after a viral TikTok video showed him wiping his nose at a recent Jonas Brothers show.
Speaking toEsquirein an interview published on Monday, October 20, Jonas, 36, was adamant that the TikTok video was not him doing drugs.
"I've never touched cocaine in my life," the "Waffle House" singer told the magazine, before quipping: "but if I did, I think I'd be a little slicker about it than doing it onstage."
Jonas previously addressed the awkward moment of him wiping his nose — which happened sidestage at one of the September JONAS20 Greetings From Your Home Town shows — in a comment of the since-deleted original video.
"lol you never had a booger?" he joked, per People.
As any fan knows, the Jonas Brothers' current tour has been making headline after headline — and not just for Joe's nose.
The band — also made up of Joe's brothers Kevin Jonas and Nick Jonas — has continually brought out A-lister after A-lister to perform on the road, including Demi Lovato, Jesse McCartney, Hanson, 5 Seconds of Summer, Dashboard Confessional and others.
Joe is also set to perform with his other band — "Cake by the Ocean" hitmakers DNCE — during a special Halloween show in Miami on October 31.
