It will be the Toronto Blue Jays against the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 2025 World Series, but two journeyman players might have already won.
Infielder Buddy Kennedy and reliever José Ureña each made appearances for both teams in the Fall Classic this year and will theoretically be eligible for a World Series ring however the seven-game series goes down.

They're not guaranteed rings, though. The only people who are officially entitled to some personal hardware are the players on the active roster as well as the coaching staff, with the rest of the distribution up to the generosity of ownership. Teams often give out rings to every player who made even a single appearance during the regular season, as well as most if not all of the employees in the organization.
There was a similar situation last year with Taylor Trammell, who appeared in five games for both the Dodgers and New York Yankees, and there have been many more before him.

In the case of Kennedy and Ureña, neither player made what you would call a lasting impression on either team this season.
Kennedy began the season with the Detroit Tigers, got traded to the Philadelphia Phillies and was designated for assignment in June, leaving him free to sign with the Blue Jays. Toronto called him up in August and cut him a week later, at which point he landed with the Dodgers when they were in need of third base help. He was again designated for assignment after about a week and ultimately returned to the Blue Jays minor league system, with no further MLB appearances.
In total, he want 2-for-22 with a double for the World Series teams.
Ureña has been bouncing around MLB for the past 10 seasons and made appearances with five different teams this season: the Dodgers, Blue Jays, New York Mets, Minnesota Twins and Los Angeles Angels. Six of his 15 games were with the Blue Jays, two were with the Dodgers. In total, he posted a 4.58 ERA and wrapped up the season with the Angels.
So neither player was exactly a star this season, but both Toronto and Los Angeles decided at one point in 2025 they were the best option to fill a roster spot. There's a value in that, which will be rewarded with a ring if the victorious team adheres to the norm of giving out rings to everyone in sight.
