Happy anniversary to *that* nude bongo-playing sesh.

Almost 26 years ago to the day, Matthew McConaughey was part of a now-infamous incident involving the bongos, the police, and zero clothing. In honor of the anniversary of the actor's run-in with the law, McConaughey, his wife, Camila, and their company Pantalones Organic Tequila are having a little fun: They're releasing a dramatic reading of the police report from the incident, complete with an intro from Steve Zirnkilton, the voice of *Law and Order*.

"What follows is a real police report," Zirnkilton says to start the video. "No names have been changed, 'cause he was totally guilty."

Camila subsequently reads from the report as her husband plays — you guessed it — the bongos, and provides hilarious insight into the proceedings.

"On arrival to the location, I could easily hear very loud music, dancing, and playing bongo drums. The nude subject yelled, 'Why are you here? You can't be in here,'" Camila says, as Matthew echoes his own words from the report.

Camila adds from the report: "Glassy and very bloodshot eyes." At this, Matthew turns to the camera and sarcastically deadpans, "And?" The two then toast to this, presumably with their brand's tequila. As the video ends, Camila can be heard saying, "Why can I see this so clearly?" to which her husband replies, "Because it's happened about 45 times since."**

In addition to the video from the McConaugheys, the brand is commemorating the anniversary of the iconic bongo event with a signature cocktail they're calling the Pantsless & Famous.

Matthew, who was 29 at the time of the arrest, hasn't been shy about the incident over the years. In his 2020 memoir, *Greenlights*, he wrote that the 1999 arrest came after he went to a Texas Longhorns football game and spent the rest of the weekend partying. In the early morning hours of Monday, Oct. 25, Matthew claims he decided to "wind down" in his home with some marijuana and the "beautiful melodic beats of Henri Dikongué."**

The actor said he then opened a window to smell the flowers in his garden, when he decided to add his own musical accompaniments via the bongos.

"What I didn't know was that while I was banging away in my bliss, two Austin policemen also thought it was time to barge into my house unannounced, wrestle me to the ground with nightsticks, handcuff me and pin me to the floor," the *Dallas Buys Club* star wrote.

After officers informed him he was also being charged with resisting arrest, he told them, "You broke in my house! F‑‑‑ yeah I resisted."

Ultimately, the drug-related charges and the charge of resisting arrest were dropped, and Matthew pleaded guilty to a noise violation charge, paying a $50 fine as a result.
