Millie Bobby Brown "often spoke" about wanting to become a young mom, a source tells PEOPLE
The insider says she and husband Jake Bongiovi are building a life together on their farm in Georgia, and notes they're "in it together"
Brown and Bongiovi tied the knot in May 2024
Millie Bobby Brown has always wanted to be a young mom.
A source tells PEOPLE that the Stranger Things star, 21, often talked about wanting to grow her family at a young age — even before she married her husband, Jake Bongiovi, in May 2024. The insight comes a day after Brown announced she'd welcomed a baby girl through adoption earlier this summer.
"She's so young, but so focused. And she has the biggest heart," the source tells PEOPLE. "There's no doubt that she's a great mom. Pretty much everything she sets her mind to, she crushes."
"And they have really worked on creating this special family life in Georgia. She loves her farm — it's going to be such a special place for the baby to grow up," the insider continues. "Even before they were married, she often spoke about her wish to be a young mom. And Jake was always on the same page. They're in it together."

On Thursday, Aug. 21, Brown and Bongiovi, 23, shared they'd welcomed their first baby together via adoption, announcing the news on Instagram.
"This summer we welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption. We are beyond excited to embark on this beautiful next chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy," they wrote. "And then there were 3."
This past March, the actress opened up about wanting to have a family with Bongiovi while appearing on an episode of the Smartless podcast. At the time, the actress said she's really looking forward to becoming a mom.

"My mom actually had her first child at 21, and my dad was 19. And you know, it's been my thing since before I met Jake," Brown said. "Since I was a baby, I told my mom, like, baby dolls. I wanted to be a mom just like the way my mom was to me." (And now, that is something both mother and daughter share in common as the actress embarks on her motherhood journey.)
"And my nan, my grandmother is, she was a huge part of my life. And so, yeah, I mean, Jake knows how important it is to me and, of course, I want to focus on really establishing myself as an actor and as a producer, but I also find it's so important to start a family for me personally," she went on, per the podcast. "It's a huge thing. Jake was like, we cannot do that until we get married. So that was his thing."
The Electric State star shared that she and Bongiovi are planning on having a big family since they both come from families with four kids. "And my thing was, I really want a family. I really want a big family," Brown shared. "I'm one of four. He's one of four. So, it is definitely in our future, but, for me, I don't see having your own child, you know, as really any different as in adopting."

That same month, Brown said she "loved" the experience of shaving her head so much, she wants to do it again — specifically when she becomes a new mom. "I always tell Jake for my first baby, I wanna shave my hair off," Brown said during an appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast. "I don't know. I just feel like it was really liberating. Would suggest it for anyone, any girl."
When Cooper, 31, pushed to confirm that Brown would actually shave her head for her first baby, the actress explained why she wants to — and when she'd do it. "Maybe like right before I'm about to give birth. Because I just think hair is such an ordeal anyway to deal with," the Enola Holmes star noted, saying she just wants to "nurture" her baby.
Brown added, "Why deal with my hair? I think it's such a liberating experience, like to be a woman is, and I felt like I had that experience as a girl, but I'd like to have that experience as a woman."
