Rita Wilson received a simple but meaningful public tribute from her husband, Tom Hanks, on her birthday.
On Sunday, the two-time Oscar winner shared a smiling photo of Wilson in a black swimsuit during what appears to be carefree vacation mode.
"This beautiful woman celebrates her birthday TODAY," the caption read. "She is beloved by her husband. Happy Birthday, @ritawilson!"

The caption may be short and sweet, but it's reflective of the tight relationship they have after being married for over 37 years — which Wilson commemorated on her own socials in May with the sweet caption: "Happy 37th Anniversary my love!!!"
The couple has spoken beautifully about their bond over the years. In 2013, Hank opened up to CNN, describing that every day with Wilson is a "blast" and "fun."
"I must say that when I met Rita, I thought, 'Oh, this is what it's supposed to be like when you are married to somebody," Hanks said at the time. "It's supposed to be this carefree and easy and, you know, oddly enough, weighty."
On her side, Wilson once said this about what holds their partnership together:
"Commitment isn't hard," Wilson told fashion designer Tom Ford in 2014 in an interview with Harper's Bazaar. "I never doubt the commitment. But things come up in life. Everyone has hardship and loss. But commitment is the foundation. There is such value in the depth of your relationships, your friendships, your marriage, your children, all of that. To me, that's what makes you feel safe to go out and pursue the things that are more risky."
They duo met on the set of the sitcom Bosom Buddies in 1981, but their romance didn't begin until they reunited and starred together in the 1985 film Volunteers.
Wilson is also an artist in her own right, having starred in several film and TV projects as well as releasing six studio albums.
This week, she posted a nostalgic throwback to her self-titled album in 2016 by sharing a clip of her music video for "Forgiving Me, Forgiving You," the fourth track on the album.

"I wrote this song with @darrellbrownmusic nearly ten years ago, and it remains one of my favorites to this day," she captioned the post. "Forgiveness is powerful. It can make anger, hatred, pain dissolve. I read something the other day which said forgiveness is like bits of string you cut that eventually free you. I liked the idea that it's not an ax to the process of letting go but gentle strings that drop from our hands. Her fifth album, Now & Forever: Duets, released in September 2022, features a sweeping collection of '70s-era cover songs sung with marquee collaborators including Willie Nelson, Josh Groban and Keith Urban.
