The Road continued its musical journey with the 11 emerging artists handpicked by Blake Shelton, Taylor Sheridan and Keith Urban competing in the new CBS singing competition in which they serve as the opening act for Keith. Their second stop was at The Factory in Dallas, Texas.
Before the performance began, Taylor stopped by to give them some advice. He told them to think, "This is my time. I get 3 minutes to do whatever I want. So, forget it's a competition and just revel in the time you have on the stage. It's your moment. Make it your moment. Don't let the moment get too big for you."

For their second performance of the season, the 11 artists were divided into two groups over a two-night event. Instead of a single song, each artist had to sing an original song and a cover with the goal in mind to impress the audience, who voted.
The artists performing on night one were Olivia Harms, Adam Sanders, Britnee Kellogg, Channing Wilson, Jenny Tolman and Cody Hibbard. Of that group, Adam and Cody finished in the two three last week, while Oliva was in the bottom last week, so there's a lot of pressure for her to rise to the top as one of the six was going home.
The bottom three vote getters were then assessed by Blake and Keith and one had to give up their seat on the bus when they were eliminated. Next week, the remaining five will perform and someone else will be eliminated before they head out to the next city.
The grand prize for winning The Road is a slot at Stagecoach, a recording contract and $250,000.

Who finished at the top on The Road tonight?
The audience voted Channing Wilson as the top performer of the night. He performed a cover of "Honky Tonk Heroes" by Waylon Jennings and "Drink That Strong" for his original.
"The second you started your original song, everything was like cajung," Keith said. "You felt the whole audience go, "I'm in.'"
Who was in The Road bottom two tonight?
The audience also voted for the bottom two: Olivia Harms and Jenny Tolman.
"I felt good overall," Jenny said. "I tried to get them as worked up as I could before going into a ballad. I saw couples swaying in each other's arms, so I felt positive about it."
Olivia said, "I really tried to push myself and moved and did some things that are outside of a little country-western singer's normal deal."
"It does not feel good to be in the bottom two, especially with my best friend, on the road. Neither one of us want the other to go home," Jenny added.
Keith mulled over who he would take through and then announced his decision: "Tonight, as far as connecting with that audience, I think Jenny, you had the edge in that, so Jenny, we're going to carry you through."
"Of course, I'm disappointed I'm not moving forward, but I'm so grateful to have the opportunity to let people know who I am as an artist," Olivia said on her elimination. "Thanks for letting a cowgirl have a go at it."
The Road airs Sunday nights at 9 p.m. ET/PT on CBS and stream next day on Paramount+.
