- *Talamasca: The Secret Order* is a spinoff of AMC's *Interview With the Vampire*.
- Nicholas Denton leads the series alongside Elizabeth McGovern and Maisie Richardson-Sellers.
- Eric Bogosian and Justin Kirk will reprise their *Interview With the Vampire *roles for the new series.
The next chapter in the *Immortal Universe* will push the boundaries of Anne Rice's indelible works of horror.
*Anne Rice's Talamasca: The Secret Order* is the third series in AMC's shared universe of Rice's work, which began with its adaptation of *Interview With the Vampire *and grew with *Mayfair Witches*.
The six-episode spinoff follows Guy Anatole (Nicholas Denton) as he "joins the clandestine world of the Talamasca, an international spy agency for immortals, and uncovers his family's hidden ties to the supernatural world," per a synopsis.
Rice fans will certainly recognize the Talamasca, as it appears in many of the author's novels and on AMC's adaptations. But the series is an original story centering on a character you won't find in her oeuvre. But that doesn't mean you won't see some familiar faces.
Speaking with **, creator and showrunner John Lee Hancock even teased the arrival of "characters that haven't been exposed yet that Anne Rice wrote about."**
Below, see which bloodsuckers (that we currently know about) will rear their fangs in the spinoff. Here's EW's *Talamasca: The Secret Order* cast and character guide.**

Prior to joining the cast of *Talamasca*, Nicholas Denton appeared in several Australian films and series, as well as the Starz series adaptation of *Dangerous Liaisons* (2022).
His Guy Anatole, a new character in the *Immortal Universe*, is a law school student who discovers he's been tracked his entire life by the titular agency. His ability to read minds is coveted by the organization.
From there, he "falls headlong into a world of secret agents and immortal beings who, up to now, have maintained a fragile balance with the mortal world," per an AMC character description.
Speaking with EW, Denton described Guy as a "reluctant spy" with a healthy dose of skepticism. "Quite quickly, he's adrift and he has to find something to latch onto, and unfortunately he has to latch onto the organization that ruined his life," he told us.**
Elizabeth McGovern as Helen

Elizabeth McGovern comes to *Talamasca* with three Golden Globe nominations, in addition to an Oscar nod for *Ragtime* (1981). Of course, most fans will recognize her as *Downton Abbey*'s Cora Crawley, whom she played for six seasons and three movies, including this year's *Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale*.
Here, she plays Helen, described as a "seasoned veteran of the Talamasca, and the leader of its New York Motherhouse."
"This is quite new for me," McGovern told EW. "I'm so often cast as the obvious good person. I spent much of my career being the perfect girlfriend, and then as I got older, being the perfect wife, and then as I got older, being the perfect mother, and then God knows where I go from here. So I've liked the possibility of a Machiavellian kind of ulterior motive. That's been quite fun."**
William Fichtner as Jasper

William Fichtner, with his sharp features and piercing eyes, is one of the most familiar character actors in Hollywood.
On film, he's worked with some of this era's greatest filmmakers, including Michael Mann (*Heat*), Kathryn Bigelow (*Strange Days*), Robert Zemeckis (*Contact*), Ridley Scott (*Black Hawk Down*), and Wolfgang Petersen (*The Perfect Storm*). He's also starred in several blockbusters either directed or produced by Michael Bay, such as *Armageddon* (1998), *Pearl Harbor *(2001), and *Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles* (2014).
Viewers may also recognize him for his roles on *Prison Break* (2006–2009) and *Mom* (2016–2021). Next up, he'll feature in the second season of Netflix's acclaimed *Beef*.

Fichtner gets to play Talamasca's big bad, an American vampire with his own army of Revenant vampires and a desire to bend the Talamasca to his own purposes. In EW's cover story, creator and showrunner John Lee Hancock described Jasper as "a middle-class vampire" from a "small town in Texas."
"I was very taken with the idea of someone who's good and, well, pissed off — not only at the world and the Talamasca, but also probably some other vampires," added Hancock. "I don't have to have written a vampire before to write a vampire with these issues, because they're human issues."
What does Fichtner himself think of the character? "I've played tough guys, I've played rough guys, but I've never played anything quite like this," he told EW.
Maisie Richardson-Sellers as Olive

Maisie Richardson-Sellers rose to fame on CW series like *The Originals* (2014–2017) and *Legends of Tomorrow* (2016–2020), and later played Chloe Winthrop in Netflix's *The Kissing Booth* trilogy (2020–2021).
Richardson-Sellers appears as Olive, "a beguiling and ambitious agent of the Talamasca."
"It starts quite intimate, and it just grows and grows and grows until by the end, it's a real crescendo," she told EW. "It ramps up and it will leave you, I hope and believe, really gunning for a season 2. And I think it's only going to get bigger and better."**
Céline Buckens as Doris

British actress Céline Buckens made her screen debut in Steven Spielberg's Oscar-nominated *War Horse* (2011). She went on to help lead Netflix's *Free Rein* (2017–2019) and season 2 of Cinemax's *Warrior* (2020). Most recently, the actress starred on the British spy series *Suspect* (2024).
Buckens costars as Doris, who lives on a houseboat with a coven of witches and is described as "strong-willed and with an old soul."**
"Drink it in. Like a fine wine, or maybe a throbbing artery. Depends on your proclivity," she wrote in a July 2025 Instagram post promoting the series.**
Jason Schwartzman as Burton

Jason Schwartzman as Burton on 'Talamasca: The Secret Order'.
Jason Schwartzman, the son of Oscar-nominated actress Talia Shire and producer Jack Schwartzman, made his screen debut as the lovably maddening Max Fischer in Wes Anderson's *Rushmore* (1998). He went on to become a frequent collaborator of Anderson's, with acclaimed performances in films like *The Darjeeling Limited* (2007), *Fantastic Mr. Fox* (2009), and *Asteroid City* (2023), among others.
The prolific performer has appeared in a number of high-profile projects in recent years, voicing the Spot in *Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse* and playing Lucky Flickerman in *The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes, *both released in 2023.**
Schwartzman will guest on *Talamasca* as Burton, who's described as a "charming, rakish vampire, leading a cloistered life in a luxurious Upper West Side penthouse."**
Eric Bogosian as Daniel Molloy

Eric Bogosian as Daniel Molloy on 'Talamasca: The Secret Order'.
David Gennard/AMC
Eric Bogosian was a buzzy off-Broadway playwright and monologuist before rising to fame for his incendiary leading turn in 0liver Stone's* Talk Radio* (1988), which was based on Bogosian's acclaimed play of the same name. He's since written several works of fiction and non-fiction, including the play *Suburbia*, which was adapted for film by Richard Linklater in 1996.
Bogosian is also a well-known and versatile actor, with roles on series such as *Billions* (2017–2018) and *Succession* (2018–2023), and in films like Woody Allen's *Deconstructing Harry* (1997) and the Safdie brothers' *Uncut Gems* (2019). (We're particularly partial to his turn as the malevolent Travis Dane in *Under Siege 2: Dark Territory*.)
As Daniel Molloy, Bogosian has become a key figure in the Immortal Universe. The opportunistic writer featured prominently in the first two seasons of *Interview With the Vampire*, and also shares a scene with Denton's Guy in the premiere episode of *Talamasca*.
"[Daniel's] willing to talk with him a little bit, at least give him a clue," Bogosian told EW. "Daniel wouldn't mind sucking the blood out of him, but he does have a final scrap of empathy in him. I could feel like a tiny vestige of sympathy for this fool who's going to basically get himself in a lot of trouble. I'm pretty much telling him that he has no idea what he's walking into. And then I tell him, 'You better leave before I kill you.'"**
Justin Kirk as Raglan James

Justin Kirk as Raglan James on 'Talamasca: The Secret Order'.
David Gennard/AMC
Justin Kirk has been acting onscreen for three decades, breaking out on the *Jack & Jill* (1999–2001) before landing Emmy and Golden Globe nominations for his work on HBO's *Angels in America* (2003) and Showtime's *Weeds* (2005–2012), respectively.
Over the past decade, Kirk appeared in Adam McKay's Oscar-winning film *Vice* (2018) and featured on series such as *Kidding* (2018–2020), *Perry Mason *(2020–2023), and *Succession* (2021–2023).
Here, Kirk will reprise his role as Talamasca agent Raglan James, whom we last saw putting the screws to Bogosian's Daniel in* Interview With the Vampire* season 2.
Speaking with EW, Kirk called Raglan an "enigma," acknowledging the character's future as written in Rice's books, which find him eventually ousted from the agency.
"It seems to be a mystery to what degree he's loyal to the Talamasca at this stage, and how much he actually has Guy's interests at heart," Kirk said. "We don't know if he's trying to screw him over. He is a goddamn mystery."**
