Matthew McConaughey is passing on his wisdom to son Levi McConaughey, whether it's about breaking into acting or maintaining proper hygiene.
The 17-year-old burgeoning actor revealed in an October 18 interview with People that his Oscar winner father, 55, has taught him to "stay clean all the time."
"It's important," Levi added.
Matthew shares Levi as well as daughter Vida, 15, and son Livingston, 12, with wife Camila Alves, whom he's been married to since June 2012.

In addition to taking his dad's grooming tips, Levi explained how his mother and younger sister have influenced his skincare routine.
"Just some cleanser, moisturizer and a little something that my sister and mom slip in there," he explained of his regimen.
Levi also noted that his family contributes to his aura in more sentimental ways, reasoning that his "glow" comes from "spending some great time with them and time with myself."
Outside of their life at home, Matthew has taken his eldest son under his wing on set as the two starred as father and son in the film The Lost Bus, which came out earlier this month. In his interview with People, Levi offered some insight into how his real-life dynamic with his dad is different than that of their characters.
"Just the confidence of our relationship outside the movie because in the movie, it's not a good relationship," Levi said of how he and Matthew portrayed the onscreen tension while maintaining their offscreen bond. "But to be able to do it and then come out of the scene and give each other a hug and go, 'Thank you. Thank God that that's not how our relationship is in real life.' It just made it easier and fun."
While some might speculate Levi got the role because of his connection to Matthew, his father actually insisted to casting director Francine Maisler that Levi's audition be anonymous when she sent it to director Paul Greengrass.
"I said, 'OK, if you do that, then pull his last name off. All right? So he doesn't know,'" Matthew recalled at the Toronto International Film Festival in September. "And Paul saw the read without the last name, he goes, 'This is the kid.' She goes, 'Really?' He goes, 'Yeah.' She goes, 'That's actually Matthew's son!' He was like, 'Great.' And so I was like, 'Great,' [Levi] was like, 'Great,' and we had a big celebration that day."
