Ole Miss coach Lane Kiffin has been linked to numerous coaching openings across college football, particularly Florida, who recently fired Billy Napier.

Kiffin, ahead of the Rebels' game against Oklahoma on Oct. 25, said he addressed the rumors to his team in the days prior to the game, noting it's a product of the program's success.

"That's a product of having a program with a lot of players and coaches doing a really good job," Kiffin said live on SEC Nation Oct. 25. "I wouldn't even mention it because they've been through it every year for probably four years in a row, but we have so many players, I just told them, 'hey, guys, this is what happens around here because we win games and people like the style that we play in.'

"That is all about a compliment to the players."

Kiffin, in his sixth season at Ole Miss, has finished with 10 wins or more in three seasons. He has also finished top 13 or better in the US LBM Coaches Poll in three of the last four seasons.

The 50-year-old spent time as the head coach at USC, Tennessee, Florida Atlantic and the NFL's Oakland Raiders, but has stayed in Oxford, Mississippi, for the longest tenure of his career after being known for bouncing around jobs.

"He's telling the truth and he's accurate about it," SEC Now analyst Tim Tebow said on the show. "I mean, for the last four years every job, and we can mention a bunch in the SEC and around the country, that has brought his name up.

"He has been speculated about, talked about, I know a lot of teams have talked to him, they've approached him. It's not new for him and this Ole Miss team, but it is new for some of the players, so I think it was appropriate he addressed it."

Kiffin has a 50-19 record at Ole Miss, and has turned the Rebels into one of the better programs in the SEC over the past few years. He's still looking to get Ole Miss to its first-ever College Football Playoff berth in 2025.
