Ciara's sharing her secret to feeling sexy.

The R&B sensation rocks many titles — superstar singer, mother of four, style icon — but when it comes to her fashion-forward 'fits, she revealed to PEOPLE the one "goal" at the center of them all. "Make a statement with whatever you do when it comes to fashion," Ciara, 39, told PEOPLE exclusively at True Religion's "Wrapped in True" party in New York City on Tuesday, Oct. 21.

Ciara is the face of the brand's holiday campaign. And amid the many roles the "Level Up" singer holds, all of which she embraces whole-heartedly, she manages to stay true to her personal style despite the diversity of her various jobs.

"I am such a tomboy. I'm forever a tomboy," she made clear at the event held late night at the exclusive, members-only Crane Club lounge.

However, the multi-hyphenate campaign star — who rocked head-to-toe True Religion for the holiday collection celebration — knows how to level up her tomboy energy for a simultaneous sexy vibe outside of the baggy, menswear pieces she often favors.

"I do have moments though where I do wear my fitted pants like tonight," she shared of the leg-hugging denim from the brand's holiday line she was wearing, adding, "And they do make me feel a little sexy, just saying!"

Ciara wore items from the holiday campaign's three signature drops: Give True (featuring bold yet elevated essentials), Zero Chill (decked out with statement outwear with aprés energy) and Iced in True (filled with holiday soirée staples) — all available to shop now.

For her outfit of the night, Ciara styled the Sherpa Aviator Jacket ($170) over a black tank and paired it with the Joey Low Rise Flare Jean ($114.80). She wore massive, fur-covered brown boots to drive her look home.

Still, Ciara doubled down on her self-professed tomboy claim — but no matter what, she adds her special CiCi sparkle.

"Whatever I do, there's always some kind of edge or something kind of fun," she shared. "I try to add a little pop of fun to whatever I do, and I think you always want to stand out as best as you can."

"Sometimes you can stand out in simple ways," she continued. "It doesn't have to be the most dramatic fashion moment to stand out, but always make a statement with whatever you do when it comes to fashion. I would say that's kind of always my goal."

That's what makes Ciara the blueprint of what True Religion's "Wrapped in True" campaign is all about — not to mention, the chart-topping artist's longtime love for the brand that dates back to her teenage years discovering her love for fashion.

"Being a part of this campaign is very nostalgic for me," she shared. "I remember being a little girl growing up, leveling up my fashion or trying to... and True [Religion] was definitely a staple in my closet."

"I think all of us girls remember the iconic horseshoe on the butt," Ciara continued of the logo synonymous with the brand that's remained true to its bold and authentic heritage since its 2002 launch.

"It's part of your dream coming true when you get to be with such iconic brands that have had significance in my life from a fashion perspective since I was a young woman growing up," she said, adding, "So I'm just really excited and super proud to be a part of this special moment."
