Sandra Vergara is continuing to pave her own path in Hollywood as the latest real estate agent to join Selling Sunset.
In season 9 of the Netflix reality show, which premiered Oct. 29, Sandra introduces herself as a Colombian native who is "very new" to real estate. She also touches on her entertainment background as an actress and TV host.
In addition to her roles on network TV, Sandra mentions that she has a unique family connection. "I am related to Sofía Vergara. She's biologically my first cousin, but her mom adopted me, so we grew up as sisters," she says.
The two were raised together in Colombia and later reunited in Los Angeles, moving in together after the Modern Family star rose to fame, according to Sandra's interview with Fox News in August 2011.
In L.A., Sandra launched her own career through different creative channels. Now, she's adding real estate agent to her resumé.

According to E! News, Sandra and Sofía are technically cousins; Sandra is the daughter of Sofía's mother's sister. However, Sandra was legally adopted by Sofía's parents and raised alongside her.
Speaking to Fox News in August 2011, Sandra opened up about their upbringing.
"She is my cousin, but we grew up together like sisters," she told the outlet. "Her mother and father raised me since I was a young girl. She became famous when I was still a child and she came here [U.S.] and then I came here."

In an August 2011 interview with HuffPost, Sandra reflected on moving in with Sofía in L.A., where they lived together for a few years.
"That's where I started to take off and choose what I wanted to do," Sandra said. "And for that, I'm grateful to her for everything."
Over the years, the Colombian native has built an acting résumé with roles on CSI, The Bold and the Beautiful and Nip/Tuck, per her IMDb. Notably, the actress starred alongside Colin Farrell in the horror film, Friday Night. She has also worked on Spanish-language shows and movies.
In addition, Sandra hosted the E! talk show Good Work. The roundtable-style series discussed plastic surgery in Hollywood, and aired six episodes during the spring of 2015.
She also took the chance to demonstrate her makeup skills while working on the project.

In July 2025, Netflix announced that Sandra was joining Selling Sunset season 9 as the newest realtor at the Oppenheim Group.
"I guess the cat's out of the bag," she teased on her Instagram Stories following the news.
Speaking to Tudum, the TV personality shared insight about the opportunity. "The O Group felt like the perfect fit: sharp, high energy, and full of people who are at the top of their game," Sandra said.
"I've always had an eye for design and a love for people, so combining that in real estate just clicked," she added. "I'd seen [Selling Sunset] and always thought the women were incredibly dynamic. But being on the inside now, it's a whole different level of excitement."
She noted that season 9 has "unexpected twists" and "jaw-dropping moments you won't see coming."
She and Sofía have attended events together

Despite their busy schedules, Sandra and Sofía have spent time together.
In September 2025, Sandra showed her support for Sofía at America's Got Talent, where Sofía serves as a judge. She posted a photo of the two of them with the caption, "AGT nights w the 🐐✨."
Earlier that summer, they celebrated Labor Day weekend together. Sandra shared a sunny snapshot of them with palm trees and a pool in the background.
"Happy Labor Day Weekend! May your only labor be deciding between poolside, beachside, or bedside naps. En familia ❤️🇺🇸 ," she wrote.
She's open about her mental health and sobriety journey

Sandra got vulnerable about her sobriety journey during a July 2025 appearance on the No Matter What Recovery podcast.
She shared that a toxic relationship in her mid-20s led to her drinking in excess. The actress eventually got out of that relationship and sought help at a rehab center in Colombia. "I quit drinking, and I loved it, and it was amazing," Sandra shared.
Earlier that year, in May 2025, Sandra revealed on Instagram that she had dealt with an addiction to psychedelics and was three years sober.
"Psychedelics. Plant medicine. Microdosing. They're all becoming mainstream in recovery circles under the label 'California Sober,' " she wrote. "For me, they quietly became my new way of checking out. Sobriety isn't just about what you don't use... it's about facing reality without needing to escape it."
Having worked through her own struggles and coming out the other side, Sandra now frequently shares life advice with her followers.
