It sounds like Jayden Daniels' second injury absence of the season will be short-lived.
Washington Commanders coach Dan Quinn told reporters Wednesday that Daniels is expected to practice in full all week ahead of Sunday's game against the Seattle Seahawks. Daniels missed Monday's 28-7 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs with a hamstring injury.
But he'll be down his top target if he does return. Wide receiver Terry McLaurin re-injured his quad in Monday's game and will not play, the Commanders announced.
Daniels' anticipated return is a significant boost for a Commanders team seeking to bounce back from a 3-5 start in the second half of the season into playoff contention. But the news of McLaurin's injury recurrence dampens any excitement in Washington as the pass-catch tandem that helped propel Washington to the NFC championship game last season continues to be derailed by injury.

Daniels has missed three games this season with knee and hamstring injuries. McLaurin has missed four and will now miss more with a quad injury sustained early in the season after he held out of training camp.
The Commanders have lost three straight games following a 3-2 start to the season. Without Daniels, they were not competitive in Monday's loss to the Chiefs.
Washington faces a difficult upcoming schedule with games against the 5-2 Seahawks, 5-2 Detroit Lions and 6-2 Denver Broncos in three of the next five weeks. They'll also have a Week 12 bye and host the 2-6 Miami Dolphins during that span.
The Commanders will need Daniels to flash the form that made him Rookie of the Year in 2024 to compete in those games in a stretch that can make or break Washington's season. It's not clear when McLaurin will be back, but being ruled out four days ahead of time doesn't bode well for a quick return.
