Lily Allen and David Harbour were married for four years before their split in Feb. 2025.
The singer-songwriter dropped her fifth album, West End Girl, on Friday, Oct. 24, marking her first full body of work since 2018.
Lily seemingly used the album as an opportunity to get some things off her chest about the breakup—including cheating allegations.
Lily Allen is so back. The singer-songwriter, known for 2000s hits like "Smile" and "The Fear," just released her first album in seven years, West End Girl—and she's not holding back. This not only marks her first full body of work since 2018, but her first release since her split with Stranger Things star David Harbour earlier this year.
Naturally, she used her music as a vessel to get some things about her divorce off her chest…including some severe cheating allegations. Across the 14 new tracks, Lily alleges that David lied to other women about having an "open" relationship so he could cheat on her during their marriage.
On the album's title track, she seemingly recalls when she moved from London to New York amid her relationship with David and detailed a time when his "demeanor started to change" once she was cast in a production on the West End. ICYMI, Lily starred in 2:22 A Ghost Story in 2021 and The Pillowman two years later, and she moved back to the U.K. on her own during the rehearsal process for each show.
On other songs, like "Sleepwalking," she admits she had been losing sleep over the fear that her significant other would be unfaithful. "Been no romance since we wed / 'Why aren't we f***ing, baby?' Yeah, that's what you said / But you let me think it was me in my head / And nothing to do with them girls in your bed," she muses.
Once she finds texts from another woman on his phone, she confronts her on the track "Madeline," where she claims he lied about having "an arrangement" in their marriage that allowed him to sleep with other people: "Be discreet and don't be blatant / There had to be payment / It had to be with strangers."

The relationship took a toll on Lily, who has lived a sober lifestyle since 2019. She admits that she thought about picking up some Valium and alcohol to mend her heartbreak on "Relapse," where she sings, "The ground is gone beneath me / You pulled the safety net / I moved across an ocean from my family, from my friends / The foundation is shattered / You've made such a fucking mess."
When their relationship came to an end, she opened up about dropping off his things at his West Village apartment, which she thought was a space for him to lock in on work. Instead, she realized he had been unfaithful on "Pussy Palace": "I didn't know it was your pussy palace, pussy palace, pussy palace, pussy palace / I always thought it was a dojo, dojo, dojo / So am I looking at a sex addict, sex addict, sex addict, sex addict?"
In September, an insider told People that Lily slowly started to re-enter the dating pool after checking in to a treatment center following her split. "Her marriage had been crumbling for a while, and it put her in a terrible mental state," the source said. "It was very stressful and sad. Lily is a fighter though."
In February, Lily got candid about her time in the facility on her Miss Me? podcast, saying, "I just feel very grateful to have been given the time and the space that I needed…I went into a sort of treatment center for a few weeks, which was great. I did a lot of group therapy and some individual therapy, and I needed some time and space away from everything."
