A first look at the actor in character as "the Creature" has been revealed ahead of Guillermo del Toro's new Frankenstein (in select theaters now and on Netflix Nov. 7).
Elordi, 26, plays Mary Shelley's revived-from-the-dead monster to Oscar Isaac's Victor Frankenstein. Portraits of the actors in character, including Mia Goth, Felix Kammerer, Christoph Waltz, were unveiled via Netflix's social media on Friday, Oct. 24.
Trailers and an official poster for the film had previously offered only glimpses of the dramatic transformation that renders Elordi unrecognizable. As the hulking creature, the Australian star appears to have pale, cadaverous skin with lacerations across it and long, stringy hair.

"You throw time away when you make a film like this," Elordi told Variety in August of transforming into the famous character — a process that took 10 hours in the makeup trailer. "I didn't do breakfast, lunch or dinner, or think in terms of morning, afternoon, night. It was just one time."
On days with an early call time, the Euphoria alum would arrive on set at 10 P.M. the night before to begin the process. "Never once did he come to me and complain," del Toro, 61, told the outlet. "Never once did he come to me and say, 'I'm tired. I'm hungry. Can I go?' And he put in 20-hour days."

Playing The Creature "changed me fundamentally — changed the way that I approach performance and the way that I watch movies," Elordi said.
Speaking with PEOPLE at the Toronto International Film Festival in September, del Toro said he was "never daunted" by Elordi's good looks when casting him.
"I was actually elated to have found him," said the Mexican writer-director. "All it takes is for me to see Saltburn. And talking to him, I just saw a magnificent actor, and the soulfulness of his eyes is just overwhelming."
Frankenstein is in select theaters now and streams on Netflix Nov. 7.
