Gwyneth Paltrow dished on what fans can expect from her and Timothée Chalamet's on-screen relationship in a new interview with Vogue.
The co-stars are starring as lovers in Marty Supreme, which will be out on December 25.
Paltrow opened up about their "palatable" sex scenes.
As Gwyneth Paltrow and Timothée Chalamet prepare to get hot and heavy on the big screen with their Marty Supreme debut, the Goop founder is teasing just how spicy their on-screen chemistry is. Paltrow has previously hinted that viewers can expect "a lot of sex" (and the steamy results of tongue "choreography") when the film comes out on December 25. And in a new interview with BritishVogue, Paltrow got candid about the final effect of all the "rolling around" now that she's seen the film in its entirety.
In Marty Supreme, which is loosely based on the life of ping pong champion Marty Mauser, Paltrow plays a famous movie star, Kay Stone, who becomes involved with Chalamet's lead character in a fling that she surprisingly characterizes as "cold." Speaking with British Vogue in an interview published on Wednesday, October 15, the Shakespeare in Love actress revealed that filming their many intimate scenes looked different than the final product.

"When we were doing it, there was a lot of rolling around [but] it's actually quite…palatable," Paltrow shared about the co-stars' sex scenes, adding that they "accomplished exactly what it was there to do." She also gave fans a glimpse into the pair's unusual dynamic, adding, "I would say that the nature of the relationship between Kay and Marty is very transactional. It's quite cold. It's not a romance, it's like a transaction, basically."

It's not the first time that Paltrow has opened up about the awkwardness of getting back into the film industry at a time when intimacy coordinates are de rigueur. The star admitted she was "rusty" while filming her lovemaking scenes with Chalamet, but her "mom group chats" were "on fire" when scenes of the pair passionately making out went viral. "Everyone was like, 'Yes, GP, get it!'" she said, laughing. "I'm like, 'Guys, calm down."

Paltrow previously opened up about the weirdness of filming intimate scenes with Chalamet, a feeling that was only compounded by their significant age gap. "I was like, 'Okay, great. I'm 109 years old. You're 14,'" she candidly shared in an interview with Vanity Fair. Paltrow also revealed she was thrown off by the intimacy coordinator, explaining, "I was like, 'Girl, I'm from the era where you get naked, you get in bed, the camera's on.'"
However, she had nothing but praise for the Dune 2 actor, calling him "such a thinking man's sex symbol." She added, "He's just a very polite, properly raised, I was going to say kid … He's a man who takes his work really seriously and is a fun partner."
