In recent years, *The View* dressed a child as an Oscar with a red handprint on their face to commemorate the infamous Will Smith Oscars slap, and dressed another kid as the legendary Chinese spy balloon one year later.
EW has reached out to a representative for *The View* for comment.
Outside of this and last year's episodes, *The View* cohosts have kept up the tradition of sporting Halloween costumes on the air for many years — dating all the way back to when the late Barbara Walters was still on the panel.

Last year, Joy Behar spoke about the cohosts opting not to do Halloween costumes on the air with days left to go before Kamala Harris squared off against Donald Trump at the polls.
