Jennifer Hudson is throwing it way, way back for her daytime show's Halloween special.
Keeping in tradition of The Jennifer Hudson Show's annual spooky season tradition, the EGOT winner, 44, transformed into a "'70s diva" in honor of this year's "soulful celebration" featuring original Soul Train dancers, a surprise "superstar" guest and the iconic Spirit Tunnel transformed into a "groovy dance portal."
Before the "good vibes" air on Oct. 31 with the "Spirit of the '70s" episode, PEOPLE got an exclusive look at Hudson's glittery costume, which features a bedazzled lilac metallic trench coat, hot pink feathers, fabulous earrings and big feathery hair. Her crew members also dressed up in vintage-inspired looks with plenty of bell-bottoms in sight to get into the fun.

Jennifer Hudson rocks a '70s-inspired look for her daytime show's Halloween episode
The Jennifer Hudson Show kicked off its first Halloween taping in 2022 with Hudson dressed up as Whoopi Goldberg's Sister Mary Clarence from the 1992 film, Sister Act.
Recalling her early connection to the sequel, Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit, in her childhood, Hudson shared: "When I saw that movie, it gave me so much inspiration. That's the power of an icon like Whoopi Goldberg. It helped me create my dreams."
The following year, Hudson channeled another icon in music: Missy Elliott — and this time, she put on a show.
Dressed as the queen of hip-hop — more specifically rocking the rapper's balloon look from "The Rain" music video released in 1997 — Hudson took the stage with a choreographed routine to the hit song.

Her most recent look paid tribute to one of the most iconic musicians of all time, Whitney Houston. She transformed herself into the Queen of the Night — the persona made famous by Houston in The Bodyguard and song of the same name — with a costume mirroring the onscreen ensemble, recreated from head to toe with its metallic bustier, beaded and silver headpiece.
The Jennifer Hudson Show airs weekdays (check local listings).
