The "You Don't Own Me" finale of First Wives Club with Keaton, Bette Midler and Goldie Hawn has been revisited by many fans celebrating Keaton's unforgettable spirit

A family's special ode to Diane Keaton and her fun-loving spirit is going viral.

Erica Jaffe Meyer shared a video on Instagram of her three daughters reenacting the unforgettable finale, with Keaton, Bette Midler and Goldie Hawn dancing to Leslie Gore's "You Don't Own Me."

"Unfortunately, we lost an icon this month. I watched the movie and kind of grew up on Diane Keaton movies, as a 90s kid. So when everybody was posting the iconic dance scene from the movie. I'd watched it like a dozen times, then I was like, 'Wait a minute. There's three of them. I have three kids. Can I pull this off with a costume?' They love dancing and all that."

The mom of three got to work on finding all white outfits for her little ones to capture each character's spirit. In the meantime, she played the scene for them from time to time so they could start getting used to the dance.

"I had them watch the the dance a couple times and get excited about the song. They're big Taylor Swift girls. They love a dance moment, so they were so into this. So we've been watching it for a couple weeks just to get motivated. And then, when the day came, I was, like, 'All right, put these on.' "

Erica knew getting three kids to coordinate would be no easy feat, but Ivy, 2, Hazel, 4, Hildy, almost 6, delivered beyond her expectations.

"The period for attention was slim and moods change on a dime, so I was so lucky that they were willing and in a good mood at that moment," she shares.

Erica filmed while her husband played the song. "We played it twice and filmed them in the 30 minutes we had free between plans on a Sunday. Then, we spliced it together."

On Oct. 26, Erica shared the video. While she's gotten traction on some sweet videos with her girls before, she admits, "It did come as a shock to see" her latest video go viral.

"With the timing of the unfortunate loss and the nostalgia around that moment, I think it just clicked. I think there's been this need for everybody to want to love something and all the comments were so positive, which is such a rare thing to see online these days," she notes, adding, "It's been so heartwarming to see this bringing everybody so much joy."

It also holds extra meaning for Erica, who has fond memories of watching the film with her mom, who died earlier this year.

"I watched the movie with my mom growing up and there's just so much nostalgia. She was always my biggest cheerleader, the loudest and proudest commenter on all social media. I kind of dedicated the post to her in the sense of knowing she would have melted over it. Seeing all the positive comments come in, I really felt like she was kind of watching down on me with Diane. It was just really heartwarming."

Erica continues, "And they just don't make those scenes anymore! It's so iconic and such a core memory. I feel like it's unlocked that in so many people, just happiness."

While Erica has hopes the girls might get into costume one more time, she's also excited for them to wear their own picks for their Halloween celebration.

"I told them, 'Look like you can do this costume again because you'll probably have a lot of people like recognizing you on the streets,' but of course, they want to do what their friends are doing. So, we have K-pop, Taylor Swift and a little witch. They're going to have so much fun in their trendy costumes."
