One of Dolly Parton's siblings shared an update on the "Jolene" singer's health on Tuesday, October 7.
In a vulnerable Facebook post, Freida Parton asked Dolly's fans for prayers.
Parton announced she was postponing six shows from her Las Vegas residency on September 28 due to some health procedures she needed to get done.
Dolly Parton's younger sister is sharing an update on the "9 to 5" singer's health, a week after she announced she was postponing her Caesars Palace residency later this year. Freida Parton addressed Dolly's fans in a vulnerable post shared on Tuesday, October 7, asking her "prayer warriors" for some solidarity and support amid Dolly's health issues.
The 68-year-old, who is one of Dolly's 11 siblings, asked fans for prayers as she revealed that her sister is going through a tough time. "Last night, I was up all night praying for my sister, Dolly," Freida wrote on Facebook, sharing a photo of Dolly with her signature platinum blonde hair and a long-sleeved gray satin dress. She added, "Many of you know she hasn't been feeling her best lately. I truly believe in the power of prayer, and I have been led to ask all of the world that loves her to be prayer warriors and pray with me."

Freida, was previously Dolly's back-up singer as well as a solo musician in her own right, ended her post with a message of hope, writing, "She's strong, she's loved, and with all the prayers being lifted for her, I know in my heart she's going to be just fine. Godspeed, my sissy Dolly. We all love you!"

Freida's message comes a week after Dolly told fans in a September 28 Instagram post that she was pushing back her Las Vegas residency, which was scheduled to run from December 4 to December 13. The "Here You Come Again" singer infused a little humor into her post, sharing, "My doctors tell me that I must have a few procedures. As I joked with them, it must be time for my 100,000-mile check-up, although it's not the usual trip to see my plastic surgeon!"

Parton, who lost her husband of almost 59 years, Carl Dean, earlier this year, revealed that she'd be recovering at home from her procedures and unable to rehearse for her show. However, the star emphasized that she wasn't ready to leave show business just yet, adding, "Don't worry about me quittin' the business because God hasn't said anything about stopping yet. But, I believe He is telling me to slow down right now so I can be ready for more big adventures with all of you."
