Daniil, 21, proposed to his girlfriend Nastya, also 21, while they were diving in the Black Sea — and the one-of-a-kind proposal was captured on camera
In the clip, Nastya could be seen finding a bottle of champagne hidden under a mossy rock, and when she turned around, her boyfriend was holding up the ring
The couple had been dating for three years before their engagement, and spent the summer working in Crimea
A diver chose an unforgettable place to pop the question — at the bottom of the ocean.
A video obtained by the New York Post showed the moment when the young diver proposed to his girlfriend as they were completing an undersea dive in the Black Sea — complete with a ring and champagne.
In the clip, another diver with a camera could be seen capturing the heartfelt moment between the couple — Daniil and Nastya, both 21, from Krasnoyarsk, Russia — off Cape Tarkhankut in Crimea, per the Post.
Before the big moment, Daniil let Nastya take the lead, exploring underwater as he moved behind her to get the ring ready. As she sifted through a mossy enclosure, she could be seen pulling out a bottle of champagne and holding it up to the camera and shooting a "rock on" sign with her hand.

Her boyfriend then tapped her on the shoulder to get her to turn around. When she did, she appeared to be shocked for a moment as he held out a ring before gesturing with her right hand for him to slip the ring on her finger.
The newly engaged couple then hugged for a few seconds, as air bubbles from their tanks danced around them, before they separated. The bride-to-be took a moment to glance down and admire her ring.
She shot another "rock on" symbol to the camera before spreading out her hand to show off her new engagement ring. She held up her hand and the champagne bottle in celebration.
The couple had been together for three years before getting engaged, and spent the summer working in Crimea, according to Post. They shared that they envisioned building a life near the coast, where their mutual love of the sea and exploration could flourish, per the outlet.

This isn't the first time a couple has gotten engaged underwater. A videographer specializing in marine wildlife, Carlos Luna, proposed to his girlfriend, who was also a free diver, under the sea in the Galápagos Islands back in March, according to CNN.

"So I go down, take my breath and exhale a bit. And when I was already down, I take out the ring and I kneel down. Underwater I couldn't talk, [so I gestured], 'Look at me, look what I'm doing. I'm kneeling,' " Luna recalled of the proposal.
The moment when he was kneeling underwater in front of his girlfriend was captured on camera, as well as when she said "yes" and the two shared an underwater kiss.
