Miley Cyrus' touching move to her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, not only captured the hearts of the public but also that of Elizabeth Hurley.
On Friday, the pop star surprised fans by dropping a new song, "Secrets," together with Fleetwood Mac musicians Lindsey Buckingham and Mick Fleetwood.
Accompanied by an artistic music video, the 32-year-old singer revealed the meaning behind the song and presented it as a special dedication to her father.
"This song was written as a peace offering for someone I had lost for a time but always loved. In my experience, forgiveness and freedom are one and the same. This song is for my dad," she captioned her post.

Miley Cyrus' Instagram post sparked a massive reaction from fans and loved ones who were left in awe of her newly released song.
"Forgiveness and love! Cause in the end no one loses or wins," one wrote.
"MILEY, THIS IS BEAUTIFUL," a commenter said.
"The only thing that our hearts are made of are the acts of forgiveness and love," a third user noted.
The same goes for another follower who commented, "This song just healed something in me, no joke."
Apart from fans, Billy Ray Cyrus expressed how proud he was of his daughter's new achievement.
"Congratulations! This video is amazing! The song is incredible !!! Love you so much, Mile," the country singer and songwriter commented.
In addition, the actor's girlfriend, Elizabeth Hurley, also took to the comments and left a heartfelt reaction on Miley Cyrus' "Secrets."
"Stunningly fabulous," the English actress and model said.
What Caused Miley Cyrus and Billy Ray Cyrus' Fallout?
The "Flowers" singer experienced a publicized rift with the 64-year-old icon following his divorce from her mom, Tish Cyrus, in 2022.
Although she did not deny the complicated relationship she had with her parents, the award-winning songstress shared that she is trying to "be more compassionate" with them.
"I think timing is everything," she told The New York Times, adding "As I've gotten older, I'm respecting my parents as individuals instead of as parents—because my mom's really loved my dad for her whole life, and I think being married to someone in the music industry and not being a part of it is obviously really hard."
Following the end of his 28-year marriage, the "Achy Breaky Heart" hitmaker is now dating Hurley.
The singer-actor and the Bedazzled star first crossed paths on the set of the 2022 movie Christmas in Paradise.
