An "exhausted" Mumsnet user explained she's fed up with her husband not helping out with their family responsibilities

"I'm deleting all my to-do lists," she revealed, adding that she has also "decided to be a mediocre wife" moving forward

In a poll under her post, 94% of the more than 2,000 voters selected the "You are NOT being unreasonable" voting option

A disgruntled wife is airing out her family's dirty laundry.

The "exhausted" woman explained on the community forum Mumsnet that she's reached "the end of the line" with her husband not helping out with familial duties that should be responsibilities shared between them.

"I've given up trying to get my partner to do better with sharing the mental load," she said. "He has improved, but I'm exhausted from having to be the family safety net when it comes to making sure everyone's needs are met."

Now, she has "decided to be a mediocre wife" as a result of this.

"I'm not going to anticipate other people's needs, I'll do things when asked — maybe even only when reminded a few times," she wrote. "I might not do them very well, but that's ok, right? I'm deleting all my to-do lists."

Wondering if she's overreacting, the woman asked, "Is this a reasonable reaction to reaching the end of the line?"

"I'm aware divorce is somewhere in our future," she concluded.

In a poll under her post, 94% of the more than 2,000 voters selected the "You are NOT being unreasonable" voting option.

"He's clearly being a mediocre husband so fair is fair," one reader replied, while another commented, "I have always been a mediocre wife. Everyone steps up. Win-win."

A third Mumsnet user responded, "I did this. I stopped doing anything for him and it highlighted how little he actually tries or cares because he didn't start doing it himself."
