Priscilla Presley is pulling back the curtain on a surprising moment from her relationship with Robert Kardashian.

In her forthcoming memoir Softly, As I Leave You: Life After Elvis, the actress and businesswoman reveals that ex-husband Elvis Presley once phoned her in the middle of the night while she was with Kardashian — a call that could have turned explosive had the singer known.

"He'd have gone ballistic, maybe literally, if he'd known Robert was in my bedroom," Priscilla writes in an excerpt which was obtained by The Sun. "Elvis always carried a loaded gun, sometimes more than one."

Priscilla, now 80, dated Kardashian in the mid-1970s after her divorce from Elvis in 1973. At the time, Kardashian was a young Hollywood attorney who would later marry Kris Jenner in 1978 and father Kourtney, Kim, Khloé, and Rob Kardashian.

"Robert was a sweet man, and I liked him," Priscilla recalls in the book, though she noted that Kardashian's "demanding" legal career meant "long hours" that often complicated their relationship. She also shared that she spoke with the late attorney shortly before his 2003 death from cancer. "Robert and I had one last conversation before he died," she writes. "He was the kindest of men, and I remember him with great affection."

Priscilla also addresses the devastating loss of her only daughter, Lisa Marie Presley, in the memoir as well. She recounted the heartbreaking moment when she was forced to take her off life support, describing it as "the second saddest day of my life, other than losing Elvis," to People. Elvis passed away on August 16, 1977.

In the memoir, Priscilla recalls walking into her daughter's hospital room and immediately sensing that Lisa's spirit was no longer there, writing, per People, "She was hooked to a machine that was breathing for her, and she had a heartbeat. There was little brain activity. Her spirit, always so vital, wasn't there." The loss followed other painful moments in Priscilla's life, including the 2020 death of her grandson Benjamin Keough and her son Navarone Garibaldi's past struggles with addiction, and of course, her ex-husband's death.

Softly, As I Leave You: Life After Elvis is set for release on September 23.
