Lainey Wilson is in the middle of her Whirlwind World Tour. But, she's feeling unwell. Due to her undisclosed illness that is preventing her from singing with her full voice, the country music superstar and reigning ACM Entertainer of the Year announced she has been forced to pull out of her next concert, which was supposed to take place near Houston.
The "Watermelon Moonshine" singer/songwriter, 33, was scheduled to perform at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion at The Woodlands, TX, on Saturday, Sept. 20, but that show is now being rescheduled for a later date.
Ahead of what was supposed to be the concert, Wilson took to her Instagram Stories, sharing a teary-eyed apology with fans, telling them that she was crossing her fingers that she would "have a voice by showtime, but the truth is, it's only gotten worse."
Lainey Wilson's Concert Is Now Rescheduled for Nov. 1, 2025.
Wilson also let fans know that although she has had to drop out of the night's event, the concert will be rescheduled for Saturday, November 1. Fans who purchased a ticket to the Sept. 20th show will still have their tickets honored for the new date.
"Hey y'all, I'm so sorry to do this, but I'm gonna need to reschedule tonight's show in Houston to Saturday, November 1," an emotional Wilson said in her teary-eyed video message. "All previously purchased tickets will be honored for the new date."
"I was hoping that I would have a voice by showtime, but the truth is, it's only gotten worse, and I want to give y'all the best show that I possibly can," she added. "My vocal coach advised me to reschedule tonight's show."
Wilson closed out her message by telling fans that she plans to make up the missed performance in the future.
"Just please know that I'm deeply sorry for any inconvenience that it has caused to you or your family," Wilson added. "I will be back to make it up to y'all on November 1."
Wilson's 2025 Whirlwind World Tour, named after her fifth studio album, launched on Thursday, Aug. 14, at Phoenix's PHX Arena. The trek, produced by Live Nation and sponsored by Coors Light and Wrangler, includes stops in cities like Los Angeles, New York, Nashville, and Denver before wrapping on Nov. 8 in Orlando at the Kia Center.
