A decade after Glee went off the air, Chord Overstreet still has the power to shock and delight his costars.

"Chord, you went on tour with Glee, what was that like?" his former castmate Jane Lynch asked on Monday's all-Glee edition of Celebrity Weakest Link.

"I loved it, it was like getting to play in front of 18,000 people. It was insane," he shared. Overstreet was joined by Max Adler, Dot-Marie Jones, Alex Newell, Amber Riley, Becca Tobin, Jenna Ushko, and Heather Morris, who joked, "We're not that cool anymore."

But when Lynch asked him to explain why, during the time of the Glee tour, he got a "$100,000 offer," his former castmates were stunned into blushing and giggles when he revealed, "I got asked to do a full-frontal spread in Playgirl."

"You did not!" Lynch exclaimed. Morris congratulated the actor who played the dreamy jock Sam Evans to her ditzy cheerleader Brittany Pierce: "I love this for you."

Overstreet attempted to explain, but kept getting cut off by his former brothers and sisters in song.

"We shot it, and the images were so..." he began, before Lynch shouted, "You did shoot it?!"

Amber Riley, who played fan favorite Mercedes Jones, giddily cried out, "You actually did it!"

The 36-year-old, Nashville-born actor and musician said that he "pocketed the money, and it was the biggest issue that they ever had — preorders, presales. Then my publicist pulled it off the rack. So it's out there. It's out there somewhere."

Lynch looked directly into the camera and announced, "America, I'm giving you a task. This is your mission, should you choose to accept it. Find those Playgirls!"

In 2010, while Glee was reaching its heights upon entering its second season, a representative for Playgirl confirmed they were circling the wagons around Overstreet to grace the coveted center spread of the magazine notorious for its salacious, often fully nude photo stories of male celebrities.

But the statement given to E! News noted, "He doesn't even have to take it all off."

The magazine was fresh off a contentious resurgence (January 2009 marked its last print issue) by publishing a risqué spread of Levi Johnston, the former fiancé of Vice Presidential hopeful Sarah Palin's daughter, Bristol.

Glee stars Lea Michele, Cory Monteith, and Dianna Agron had also just appeared in a controversial set of photos for GQ.

The magazine noted at the time that it would even settle for other Glee stars to capture some of the magic — "that Mark Salling who plays Puck. We would definitely want him. We would be very willing to pay for them both — up to 100 thousand. And it wouldn't have to be fully X-rated, either."

Overstreet never appeared in the pages of Playgirl — that the public saw, anyway — and in 2018, Mark Salling died by suicide, two years after being named in an indictment on child pornography charges.

Overstreet made his Glee debut in a season 2 guest role, and after an overwhelmingly positive fan reaction, was promoted to the main cast just two years later.
