Desperate Housewives star Jesse Metcalfe revealed he didn't know much about the rumored drama going on between the show's leading ladies during his time on the hit show.
Metcalfe, who played Gabrielle Solis (Eva Longoria)'s gardener and lover John, looked back at his time on the ABC show during the Southfork Experience: Dallas Panel: The Ewing Heirs earlier in August.
"I was just happy to have a job," Metcalfe, 46, said. "I went through an entire pilot season, I didn't book anything, and I tested for Desperate Housewives, which was a recast, right at the end of that pilot season and ended up booking it."
He then said he was "very grateful" to have played a part in the iconic show. "I was just kind of riding the wave, you know, because that show really broke me and I had everything coming at me and I was just enjoying it," Metcalfe said.
Metcalfe then brought up the rumors of alleged drama between the show's stars. "Matter of fact, there's a lot of stories about all the drama on that set between some of our lead females," he said. "And I was like, I was oblivious to it, basically, you know, because I was just so thrilled to be on a show and just so in the moment."

The series, which aired on ABC from 2004 to 2012, followed a group of women living on the fictional street of Wisteria Lane. Longoria, 50, Teri Hatcher, Felicity Huffman, Marcia Cross, and Nicollette Sheridan made up the original main cast.
Sheridan, 61, left the show after season 5, which sparked rumors of issues between the female leads. Additionally rumors circulated that Hatcher, 60, also had issues with some of her co-stars, though she nor the women on the show never confirmed the speculation.
