Yellowjackets star Sammi Hanratty didn't spend her 30th birthday quite the way she envisioned.
Over the weekend, the actress took to social media to share with fans that she had been admitted to the hospital and would be spending the milestone birthday with an extended stay while receiving medical care.
"This is 30! I definitely didn't think I'd be staying in the hospital all week to celebrate but that's life right? Unexpected, crazy, funny, frustrating ect...," Hanratty captioned a series of photos in her hospital room.
She continued, "All I can do right now is be grateful that I've been taken care of and hope to heal up quickly ♥️ cheers to you 30"

Of course, many of her co-stars chimed in the comment section to send their best wishes including Christina Ricci and Melanie Lynskey.
"Happy birthday love, I hope you are feeling better ❤️❤️❤️," Lynskey wrote.
While Hanratty didn't share why she was being hospitalized, she did recently undergo unexpected emergency surgery. Over the summer, Hanratty shared that she was dealing with an ovarian cyst — and actually thought she was going to have to have her ovary removed.
"I'm okay and healing up," Hanratty wrote on her Instagram in August. "I thought we were going to have to say bye to one of my ovaries but she's still there and I'm very grateful for that! I'm not very grateful to the cyst that caused all of his chaos."
Although Hanratty has not shared if her current hospitalization is related to her prior surgery, she seems to be making the best out of the situation.
In her slideshow, Hanratty shared snaps celebrating her birthday with a crown and sash — as well as a small party thrown by her nurses.
