Green Day has faced their fair share of chaos during live shows over the years — from crowd fights to onstage outbursts. And lately, things haven't gotten much easier.

The band is back in the spotlight after yet another mishap, this time during a recent concert in Luxembourg.

As is tradition, frontman Billie Joe Armstrong closed out the night with their hit "Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)," and like he often does, invited a fan on stage to play guitar beside him.

However, the fan seemingly had other ideas. Instead of strumming the chords of "Good Riddance," the young concertgoer broke into an instantly recognizable tune, Oasis' "Wonderwall."

"Oh, f--k me!" Armstrong blurted into the mic before removing the guitar from the fan's shoulder. "Wrong song, wrong song," he added, clearly not amused by the stunt.

In a now-viral TikTok video, the fan appears to beg for a second chance, but a crew member quickly escorts him offstage.

It wasn't the only onstage disruption this month. Just days earlier, during Green Day's set at Germany's Hurricane Festival, Armstrong lashed out at another fan — this time, for squirting him with a water gun.

While performing "Jesus of Suburbia," Armstrong stopped mid-song, flipped off the rowdy fan and stormed to the front of the stage to confront them.

"I'll beat your a--!" he reportedly shouted. The lead singer then picked up his guitar and resumed the performance as if nothing had happened.

Some fans expressed frustration over the disruptions, with one TikTok user writing, "Wait, that's so embarrassing, oh no," while another worried, "They're gonna stop bringing people to the stage."

These incidents echo a long history of unpredictable moments at Green Day shows. One of the most infamous dates back to Woodstock '94, when a mud fight broke out mid-set, fans stormed the stage and a security guard accidentally tackled bassist Mike Dirnt — knocking out several of his teeth.

Still, compared to the chaos of the '90s and early 2000s, the band has taken a relatively more mellow approach in recent years. But clearly, some fans are still pushing their luck.

Armstrong has always embraced fan interaction, but to a certain extent. In a past interview with Kerrang!, he explained his discomfort with performative fan behavior, especially with the use of social media and mobile phones.

"There are a lot of people out there who aren't fans who just wanna be guilty by association or something," he said. "They wanna hold you in their pocket as a souvenir. And I think that sometimes that's the part that gets annoying."
