<p>Since his death, the country singer has spoken about mourning her husband of 58 years</p>
<p>She revealed on Khloé Kardashian's podcast, Khloé in Wonder Land, that Dean's death has impacted her writing process</p>
<p>Dolly Parton is waiting to pay tribute to her late husband, Carl Dean, with new music.</p>
<p>The 79-year-old singer appeared on Khloé Kardashian's podcast, Khloé in Wonder Land, on Wednesday, July 9, and spoke about how her writing process has been impacted by the death of her husband.</p>
<p>Parton and Dean were married for almost 60 years before his death in March 2025. Since then, Parton has sparingly made comments about him and their long-lasting relationship.</p>
<p>But, during Kardashian's podcast, the TV personality, 41, asked if Parton ever suffers from writer's block or has begun writing a song without finishing it. Parton replied by remarking that her husband recently died, and "[There are] several things I have wanted to start, but I can't do it."</p>

<p>"I will later," she continued. "I'm just coming up with such wonderful beautiful ideas, but I think I won't finish it. I can't do it right now, because I got so many other things."</p>
<p>"I can't afford the luxury of, you know, getting that emotional right now," she said. "There are times like that, things like that, that will stall you a little bit. But I'll write something else though, if it comes."</p>
<p>"I'm just putting that all on hold," she added.</p>
<p>At the start of the summer, the country legend revealed that she honored Dean for what would have been their 59th anniversary by visiting the Ringgold, Ga., church where they were married on May 30, 1966. Parton revealed how her "faith" has helped her cope with the loss of Dean.</p>
<p>"We would always go down to Ringgold so — in and around our anniversary every year since we were married," she told FOX News' America Reports. The legendary singer recalled how she and Dean used to enjoy a picnic together for their anniversary.</p>
<p>"So, anyway, that's where I spent my anniversary, our first — my first — our anniversary without him, the first one," she continued. "So I thought, well, I have got to go back and just take a picture on that — on the same steps at that same church." Parton felt like "he was there with me."</p>
<p>"I am a person of faith, even though I lost him on this earthly plane, and I will miss him every day, having to learn new patterns, new habits, but knowing that I will see him again and knowing that he's in God's arms now and not mine," she told the outlet.</p>
<p>Parton shared that her late husband is "still in my heart and in my memories."</p>

<p>Weeks prior, she told Entertainment Tonight, "Of course I miss him."</p>
<p>"I'm having to really go through a lot trying to figure out how to be without him because I was with him for so long," Parton added. "I'm holding up, I'm doing as well as one can after 60 years, being with and loving somebody."</p>
<p>"There's a part of me that's happy he's at peace and at rest," she said. "But then of course, there's that part of me that will miss him forever and long for him every day. For the rest of my life, I'm sure."</p>
