<p>Benny Blanco has revealed that he Selena Gomez haven't started wedding planning yet — and shared the reason why</p>
<p>The music producer's comments came during an appearance on the Therapuss with Jake Shane talk show on Thursday, July 10</p>
<p>Blanco and Gomez announced their engagement in December 2024</p>

<p>Speaking in a new episode of Therapuss with Jake Shane, released Thursday, July 10, the music producer, 37, revealed that he and his fiancée, 32, haven't started planning for their big day just yet.</p>
<p>"Not yet, that's why we both need to chill. We've both been working so much," Blanco said when asked if they had begun their wedding tasks. "We got engaged and then we were filming music videos for our album, then then it's holidays, then right after the holidays we had to start all the promo for our stuff, do that."</p>
<p>He continued, "Then she left to film her show Only Murders [in the Building] and then I met her then we hung out for a week and then right after that it's promo and then I'm writing another book so then I had to write a book and then she came back for one day here and I and then it was my birthday and you know."</p>
<p>The musician added that the duo have been "working on so many things that we hadn't even had time to get into it but we're so excited."</p>

<p>He continued, "I think this summer we're going to sit down and be like, 'Okay, what are we doing.' "</p>
<p>Speaking about the type of wedding it'll be, Blanco added, "I think it will be like chill."</p>
<p>Earlier in the podcast, Blanco spoke about how he was in need of break due to his busy work schedule.</p>
<p>"Honestly, I really want to take a little break. I've been working so much. I've realized I haven't really had much time off in a while and I'm about to just, I just want to lay in bed and forget what day it is because we've been in bed just watching stuff," he said.</p>

<p>He added that while he doesn't usually like to lay in bed, "with Selena, I can do it all day."</p>
<p>"She makes me want to hang out and cuddle, just watch things, just eat food, and have piles of food around us and have the best time ever," he said.</p>
<p>Blanco's comments come after he confirmed last month that Ed Sheeran would be on the guest list for the duo's nuptials.</p>
<p>"I just told him, I was like I'm going to have a wedding and you're going to come to the wedding," Blanco told Australia's Today show at the time. "Eventually Ed will come to our wedding when we do have one, but unfortunately, we have not scheduled one yet. But we will."</p>

<p>He and Gomez also said on the Table Manners with Jessie and Lennie Ware podcast in April that they "haven't figured out anything" about the ceremony apart from including the Jewish dish challah.</p>
<p>Gomez also said that she and Blanco would most likely not have a first dance.</p>
<p>"I don't think we're looking at having one of those 'cause they're a little — I feel embarrassed," she said before Blanco added, "She's shy."</p>
<p>However, the Rare Beauty founder then said she would have a "special dance" with her grandfather and will also be participating in the Jewish wedding tradition of doing the Hora, or the "chair dance."</p>
<p>Back in March, Gomez said on the TODAY show that she didn't want to rush wedding planning because she wanted to "enjoy" her engagement.</p>
<p>"To be honest, I'm just enjoying us in this moment, and yeah, then we'll get to start the craziness," she said.</p>
<p>The couple announced their engagement back in December when Gomez shared snaps of her engagement ring.</p>
