A woman says her mother-in-law is trying to sneak "weird" photos of her baby — and she's not having it.

In a post shared to Reddit, the anonymous woman writes that her mother-in-law threw a "tantrum" after she told her not to take photos of the child.

As a result, her husband's mother "huffed and started grumbling about how dramatic I am, and how possessive I am of 'her baby.' "

The situation escalated further once the woman's husband intervened, leading to a "2-3 hour argument" in which his mother insisted the woman is "trying to ruin their relationship."

From the post: "Husband responds that if she really wanted to take pictures of the baby, all she had to do was ask for help so he or I could cover the baby's face, MIL and FIL argue that they shouldn't have to ask permission, they're grown adults and can do as they please in their own house. Husband reminds them that it is our baby, not theirs, and since they felt so strongly, that is why I removed myself from the situation, and if they wanted to see my baby, they could do it at our house, where they'll have to follow our rules."

To make matters worse, the husband's mother then took the photos she had taken of the baby and posted them to Facebook. Now, the couple has decided they'll no longer be taking an annual trip to visit his family.

Other Reddit users are weighing in on the situation in the comments, with one writing, "I am sorry you and your husband have to deal with such an unhinged family."

Added another: "Wow this woman is literally off her rocker! Good on your husband for defending you so strongly; I'm so glad that he is so supportive of you."
