Alison Brie has some notes for the franchise if she's going to return for "Scream 7."

In a recent podcast episode of "Shut Up Evan," Brie shared how she recently pitched for her character's return for "Scream 7" after several of her former castmates were announced to be resurrected for the new film.

"Alison was famously in 'Scream 4.' I feel like with new 'Scream' rules, even though she dies brutally, we could bring her back," her husband, Dave Franco, mentioned on the podcast.

Brie added, "Yeah, where's my role in 'Scream 7?'

The actress played the book publicist Rebecca Walters in "Scream 4," who was stabbed in the abdomen by Ghostface and thrown off the edge of a parking garage.

It was previously reported that David Arquette, Matthew Lillard and Scott Foley would reprise their deceased characters in the seventh installment. "Scream" alums Sarah Michelle Gellar and Parker Posey have since pitched for their characters' return as well.

After Skeet Ulrich's return in the previous two films, Brie noted, "I hear tons of people are coming back. … I mean, Hayden [Panettiere] came back in ['Scream'] 6."

On the podcast, Brie also shared her "problem with the current era" of the horror franchise about the survival of the "core four" characters Sam Carpenter (Melissa Barrera), Tara Carpenter (Jenna Ortega), Chad Meeks-Martin (Mason Gooding) and Mindy Meeks-Martin (Jasmin Savoy Brown) in the previous two sequels.

"Too many people live," she said. "The 'core four' needs to die. We killed [Jamie Kennedy's Randy Meeks] in 'Scream 2.' We should be down to two of the 'core four,' just by 'Scream 7.'"

She also admitted that the murder of original character Dewey Riley (Arquette) was "very sad" and "a mistake." She noted, "Keep the main three."

"Scream 7" will be released in theaters on Feb. 27, 2026, with Neve Campbell reprising her role as Sidney Prescott.

The returning cast includes Courteney Cox, Arquette, Foley, Lillard, Gooding and Brown, as well as newbies, Isabel May, Celeste O'Connor, Asa Germann, Mckenna Grace, Sam Rechner, Michelle Randolph, Jimmy Tatro, Anna Camp, Joel McHale, Mark Consuelos and Ethan Embry.
