Nicki Minaj attempted her own Stiletto Challenge — but her wardrobe got in the way

In a post on Instagram, the rapper shared that she'd tried the challenge but wore too short of a dress, so she'd give it another go soon

The challenge encourages people to balance in high heels in the most difficult of places — including a Spam container and nail polish caps

Nicki Minaj is addressing a wardrobe malfunction near-miss.

The rapper tried her own viral stiletto pose to show fans but, she revealed in a recent post, her outfit had other plans. She shared short glimpses into her attempt, but during the pose itself, Minaj shared her dress was just too short for that particular pursuit.

"Dear Barbz, about that pose…. Ummm 😩 this Chanel dress was just a tad shorter than I thought & the thongs definitely didn't help," she wrote in the caption. "Didn't want to make it explicit.😃"

She added, "Both feet on the ground tho. Ten toes. Ima put on a diff outfit that won't show so much skin & do it again for you guys later. 🩷🙏🏽🎀 love 🫵🏽"

The rapper included her song "High School" — the song in the music video from which the trend originated — in her post, shared Aug. 5.

The trend, often referred to as the "Stiletto Challenge" or the "Ten Toes" pose, is inspired by a difficult move Minaj executed in the 2013 song's music video. In the video, she balances on stiletto heels by a pool, lifting the heels themselves so it's just her toes on the ground.

TikTok users worldwide have since attempted the challenging feat, sharing their incredible high-heeled balancing acts. In one video — which garnered over 61 million views— an employee at a nail salon balanced in gold stilettos on the caps of two bottles of nail polish. Others balanced successfully on a container of Spam, a children's car race track set and a surfboard — while actually surfing.

Still, the trend has taken a dangerous turn for some. A Russian influencer, Mariana Vasiuc, attempted to balance on top of a tub of baby formula, stacked on top of a saucepan, which was set on her countertop, when she lost her balance and the items fell from beneath her. Vasiuc, in turn, fell off the back of the counter and consequently sustained a compression flexion fracture, she later shared.
