<p>Multiple earthquakes shook Southern California hours after a tremor was felt on the East Coast on Aug. 5, according to data from the U.S. Geological Survey.</p>
<p>One quake hit Rialto, California, in the evening hours on Aug. 5, followed by two more overnight in the San Bernardino area, according to USGS.</p>
<p>In Northern California, two tremors also struck overnight outside of Petrolia and Ferndale, respectively.</p>
<p>Hours earlier on Aug. 5, some in New York reported feeling shaking after an earthquake rattled northern New Jersey.</p>
<p>Here's a look at the latest earthquakes, according to USGS.</p>
<p>3 quakes hit San Bernardino area in Southern California</p>
<p>Impact reports from a magnitude 3.5 earthquake that struck near Rialto, California, show some shaking felt in the area. -</p>
<p>At around 8 p.m. ET or 5 p.m. local time on Aug. 5, a magnitude 3.5 quake with a depth of about four miles hit about four miles northwest of Rialto, California, according to USGS.</p>
<p>Overnight, another magnitude 3.5 tremor was recorded about three miles southeast of Ontario at around 4 a.m. ET or 1 a.m. local time on Aug. 6. That event had a depth of around four miles, per USGS.</p>
<p>An hour after that, a magnitude 3.7 quake with a roughly 6.5 mile depth hit less than four miles north of Lytle Creek, per USGS.</p>
<p>All three events caused light shaking around the San Bernardino area, according to impact reports compiled by USGS, which are not scientifically verified.</p>
<p>Tremors hit Northern California overnight</p>
<p>Two earthquakes also hit off the coast of Northern California overnight Aug. 6, according to USGS.</p>
<p>At around 1 a.m. ET, or 10 p.m. local time Aug. 5, a magnitude 3.4 tremor was recorded about 100 miles west of Ferndale, per USGS.</p>
<p>A magnitude 2.9 quake struck about 11 miles west of Petrolia about an hour later, according to USGS.</p>
<p>No shaking was reported in the area as of 7 a.m. ET, per USGS impact reports.</p>
<p>NY, NJ area experience second quake in three days</p>
<p>A magnitude 2.7 earthquake rattled parts of New York and New Jersey around midday on Aug. 5, according to USGS.</p>
<p>The tremor struck just over a mile southwest of Hillsdale, New Jersey, at about 12:11 p.m. ET, and had a depth of about seven miles, according to USGS. Hillsdale is about 20 miles northwest of Manhattan.</p>
<p>Weak shaking was felt throughout parts of northern New Jersey, including Newark, Paterson and Englewood, and across the New York City area, according to impact reports compiled by USGS.</p>
<p>It came days after another magnitude 3.0 temblor hit New Jersey on Aug. 2 and was felt as far as New York.</p>
