Sasha Farber is speaking out for the first since he was noticeably absent from the Dancing With The Stars season 34 cast announcement.
The longtime DWTS professional dancer shared a message via his Instagram Story on Wednesday, Sept. 3 addressing fan concerns about his absence from the show.
Farber began the video, "Guys, the Dancing with the Stars cast announcement was today. Wow, so many good names. Who are you going to vote for? I mean, I know who I'm going to vote for. I know who you're not going to vote for — That's me."
"But that's okay. You know what? Thank you all so much for all your incredible messages. I read them all, I see it all, I adore you, I definitely don't deserve you because you guys are amazing. I love you, thank you so much," he continued. "And this is going to be quite a season because there's so many [frontrunners]. Like, who's going to win? Anyone could win. This is going to be great, and I can't wait to cheer. Love you all."

Farber was a professional dancer on seasons 17, 22-24, and 26-33. He was on the dance troupe from seasons 13-16, 18-21, and 25 but will not be returning to it this season. Farber has been in the finals four times with his celebrity partners, but has never won the Mirrorball Trophy.
Season 34 is not the first time Farber's future with DWTS has been in jeopardy. For season 33, Farber's celebrity partner, Jenn Tran, was asked to be on the show the night before the Good Morning America cast announcement. Before season 31, Farber's partner dropped out unexpectedly, but he ultimately kept his spot after convincing his neighbor, actress Selma Blair, to do the show with him.

Prior to the season 34 cast reveal on Good Morning America, rumors swirled online that Farber would not be on the show this year — much to fans dismay. He seemingly addressed the backlash on TikTok Aug. 23, writing in a comment, "It's going to be an epic season with or without me it's the 20th year anniversary what an achievement 👏👏👏."
Dancing With The Stars premieres Tuesday, Sept. 16 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC and Disney+.
