Morgan Wallen won't be getting a Grammy in 2026.
On Tuesday, Aug. 19, HITS Daily Double reported that the country star will not be submitting his 2025 album I'm the Problem to the 2026 Grammy Awards.
Billboard noted that means Wallen, 32, will not be put forward in individual categories, either, like Best Country Solo Performance. None of the seven songs that he co-wrote will be considered in any song categories, genre or general field either.

Per the publication, Wallen's team won't prevent the songwriters he collaborated with from submitting their work on the album, which has earned four chart-toppers on Billboard's Country Airplay chart and three No. 1s on the Hot Country Songs chart.
Wallen's duet with Tate McRae "What I Want" also topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
In addition to Wallen, a handful of artists have declined to submit their music to the Grammys over the years.
In 2016, Frank Ocean declined to submit his widely acclaimed album, Blonde, for Grammy consideration, and called opting out of the show "his Colin Kaepernick moment." He told The New York Times that the Recording Academy didn't "seem to be representing very well for people who come from where I come from."
In 2021, Drake withdrew his two 2022 Grammy Award nominations after critiquing the Recording Academy a year prior.
That year, The New York Times revealed The Weeknd would boycott the awards show moving forward after his album After Hours and hit single "Blinding Lights" were snubbed from nominations.
"Because of the secret committees," he told the publication. "I will no longer allow my label to submit my music to the Grammys."
Wallen released his album I'm the Problem in May 2025.
Featured on the album are collaborations with Post Malone, Eric Church, ERNEST, HARDY and Tate McRae — Wallen's first team-up with a female artist.
In a May press release, he revealed the meaning behind the title of the 37-track album.
"I have been a problem, for sure, and I've got no problem admitting that," he said at thet time. "But there are other sides to me as well. I've spent the last 11 months really trying to figure out, 'Do I still want to be the problem? Is it time to move past that phase in my life?' "
He added: "I think it probably is, and this might be the last time I get a chance to honestly say it."
