An episode of the popular children's television series Bluey has been temporarily removed from streaming in Australia

A representative for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation explained the surprising reason for the episode's temporary removal

Bluey fans in some parts of the world are missing one episode of the popular children's television series.

The season 2 episode, titled "Hammerbarn," has been pulled from the Australian Broadcasting Corporation's on-demand streaming service, iview, for a specific reason.

Turns out, the episode has been temporarily taken down due to a partnership with the hardware store chain Bunnings Warehouse, which is selling Bluey-themed garden gnomes and other show-related merchandise.

A representative for ABC explained that the government-funded network is unable to take part in commercial partnerships, such as the one with Bunnings.

"This campaign is a BBC Studios and Bunnings partnership," the representative said in a statement to the Daily Telegraph. "As the ABC cannot align with a commercial brand or partnership, the Bluey episode 'Hammerbarn' will temporarily be unavailable on ABC iview while the Bunnings Hammerbarn campaign is live."

The rep went on to explain that the episode "will return to ABC iview at a later date."

PEOPLE has reached out to ABC for comment.

As of the writing of this article, "Hammerbarn" is still available to stream on Disney+ in the United States and on BBC iPlayer in the United Kingdom.

Bluey was the most-streamed show of 2024.

Nielsen announced earlier this year in a new report that the show, which follows a family of Australian Heeler dogs, was the most-streamed show last year.

It reported that Bluey was watched for 55.62 billion minutes on Disney+, with 43% of its viewing audience being attributed to kids aged 2-11.

That put Bluey well ahead of runner-up Grey's Anatomy (47.85 billion viewing minutes on Hulu/Netflix) and other top-streamed shows, including Family Guy (42.44 billion viewing minutes on Hulu), Bob's Burgers (36.8 billion viewing minutes on Hulu) and NCIS (35.91 billion viewing minutes on Hulu/Netflix/Paramount+).

'Bluey'The massive global success of Bluey has led to big moves for the Australian animated kids' series.

The Walt Disney Company and BBC Studios announced in December 2024 that Bluey will be getting the big-screen treatment with a feature film in 2027, with creator Joe Brumm leading the Ludo Studios production as writer and director.

Also announced in December 2024 was news that the characters from Bluey will be new additions to the Disney Cruise Line as well as the theme parks at Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World.
