'One Battle After Another' tops 2026 Golden Globes nominations list

Oscar season has an early favorite, with "One Battle After Another" receiving nineGolden Globenominations.

Paul Thomas Anderson's acclaimed movie is up for best comedy/musical, as well as best actor for Leonardo DiCaprio and best actress for Chase Infiniti, at the83rd Golden Globe Awards, whichannounced this year's nominees on Dec. 8. The Jan. 11 ceremony, which featuresreturning host Nikki Glaser,airs live on CBS and streams on Paramount+(8 p.m. ET/5 PT). In the TV categories, HBO's "The White Lotus" led all shows with six nominations (including best drama series) while Netflix's "Adolescence" scored five.

The best movie drama category includes "Sentimental Value" (which had eight total nominations), "Sinners" (seven nods) "Hamnet," "It Was Just an Accident," "Frankenstein" and "The Secret Agent." The other big prize of the night is best comedy/musical, a field that includes "One Battle After Another," "Marty Supreme," "Bugonia," "Blue Moon," "No Other Choice" and "Nouvelle Vague."
